@PushaStee

revolution starts at the self. "dialectical materialism is not dogma, but a guide to action." he/his.

What are the types of political struggle that we stand to gain from? What are the ideologies we need to reproduce amongst ourselves to actualize these strategies? What are the forms and methods of organization which are required for implementation?

powerless to change the situation, the puritan focuses on how people *perceive* the situation itself, so as to put boundaries on whats acceptable discourse. they cant do anything about russia, putin, or cuba, the only thing they can do is tell people what they should think

Putin's sending oil to Cuba does not make him some kind of proletarian hero. Please have some sense. I mean, great that he did that but I have a nagging suspicion he didnt do it to further the Revolution.

why is it so difficult to acknowledge that black boys have unique experiences? cause their narrative loses purchasing power the moment they do. it says everything about one's relation to gender, sex, and sexuality. they're just hypocrites

@Emily_14568 @covfefe69 It hasnt rebounded, which is to say they havent fixed their structural issues. Its mostly driven by pre-enlistment programs (too unfit to survive basic training), an increase in women, and overall lowering of standards. Which is bad when you have technical roles to fill

not saying it was the plan-all-along, but slimming down the military makes it easier to control. Given what just happened to the navy, I'd expect a major restructuring / downsizing in the next 3-4 years. the military won't be the same after this, how can it?

@covfefe69 the military could be half its size and still be a significant apparatus for domestic security, but the shenanigans going on right now is only going to make recruitment and retention worse, which is The Point, I think.

@covfefe69 thats part of it, but the particular point I was making is really about the tension between the costs of maintaining a globally-spanning fighting force, and the structural realities of acquiring ideological(political) control over the military and then enforcing it in practice

they can't mobilize the military effectively against the domestic until its much smaller and thoroughly purged of disgruntled employees.

@gina_scooter people are focused on the gas pump but thats honestly maybe only a third of the problem. its the price of everything else going up. and the longer it goes on, the deeper it will be felt. the war lasting a week would've been devestating, at this rate its catastrophic

its wild to me people think the US is well positioned to weather this oil crisis. You need state capacity and planning to weather a crisis. Like 45 of the 50 states in this country are run by dudes who were picked by car dealership owners and legacy ranchers solely to lower taxes

No emancipatory horizon can be realised, in a world of nation states, without sovereignty. “I support the people not the regime”, well guess what? It is the “regime” that is handing US their ass to them. Do you support them now?

When the historical record disagrees with me, that’s communism. When current events disagree with me, that’s luddism. I’m always right even when I’m never right. And I’ll never EVER reflect on it.
Marc Andreessen 🇺🇸@pmarca

Almost everything you think you know about the history of technology and capitalism was warped by communist/luddite propaganda of the era. That's happening this time too.

The U.S. as currently constituted is structurally resilient because even if you *could* organize one clandestinely over a period of time there’s no guarantee that your rule will be recognized and then you just bought yourself a civil war which is a completely different obstacle

It’s actually quite simple if you actually look at it practically. Say you’re a high ranking officer. How do you plan a coup? Logistically how does it happen? How do you keep your plans secret? If you do somehow depose the guy, does the rest of the military recognize your orders?
if they go low, i go lowER@Lunasreign_

I used to love war history and while I can’t think of a specific instance, military coups, or the very least a mutiny, have started for less. It’s insane how ingrained complacency to the state is in the American mind from the bottom up.

First time I have seen all 5 flags of countries involved in some way with the Axis of Resistance (Palestine, Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq) being draped at one of these massive protests in Sana'a.
