@Montrealdolfan @MiaFins1 Plus with Malik’s contract it gives at least 1 year to let the franchise guy sit and learn before taking over. Another crucial piece of the puzzle

@QFlaming67 @MiaFins1 You kind of have to have a QB before you can take that approach. The Dolphins haven’t had one for 26 years. Malik Willis won’t be that guy either.

Big Mike NYC 🇺🇸
Miami will draft a QB in rd 1 next yr if Willis flops. If Miami has a bad record like we all expect and Willis performs then Miami won't draft one .

@Montrealdolfan @MiaFins1 You aren’t entirely wrong. More than likely you’ll be right about Malik not being the guy. More than likely though Malik will be at last a quality starter while we increase the talent on the team so when we do draft our franchise guy he doesn’t have scraps around him

Jon-Eric Sullivan says Miami would've pulled the trigger on some QBs in the draft had they been there at specific values "We really like (Mark) Gronowski. Big athlete, can run, can move. He's a 230lb man with a pretty good arm." Which drafted guy is he referring to? #PhinsUp

@OmarKelly I’m gonna say that Mestemaker, Sayin, and Manning. Yes Manning. Won’t be in the 27 class. They’ll play another full year before leaving.

@ScottBarrettDFB I mean, if you’re going to trade him then you have to show he can play. That’s how I’m choosing to see it anyway

Shedeur Sanders was already the first top-5 overall pick to be drafted Round 5 Now he’s the first Pro Bowl rookie QB to ever sit in Year 2 The NFL’s prejudice knows no bounds smh

@Montrealdolfan @MiaFins1 You draft a QB before you need one is this regime’s mentality. It’s what has kept the Packers from being in QB purgatory. We could use a few decades of being out of that

@QFlaming67 @MiaFins1 Makes zero sense to draft a QB at the same level as the current one. This mentality is what has kept us mediocre for 2 decades plus. Just dumbass lateral moves.

@MavsGirl77 Nah you can thank LeBron for starting this. Sure SGA does it but he was the starter nor is he the reason it’s become an issue. It’s LeBron. Through and through.

This is due to players like SGA and the nba officials not following their own rule books when it comes to flopping. This should be a tech instead it’s rewarded with FTs. Nobody wants to watch people flail around like they just got hit by a truck. Just play the freaking game!

@KevHarlanEffect Only if Jonah can take a step forward (I think he will) and Jackson can play as many games as possible next year.

@TheFinsReset @MattInfante To be fair, there are players who played on one side and switched and did extremely well. I would start KP at LG just from the continuity from the left side from college and not have an issue like we had with Jonah last year.

@MattInfante Tunsil played LG though and transitioned to LT. Proctor may transition to RT after this season which may worry me a bit. I thought they would start him at RG to at least get acclimated to the right side

Kadyn Proctor starting at LG really isn't a huge surprise. Even Laremy Tunsil started at guard before transitioning to tackle. The bigger questions are: 1) Is LG Proctor's long-term home? Or is it temporary? 2) If Austin Jackson plays poorly or gets hurt, does Proctor move to RT immediately?

@OmarKelly 2 out of the 3 blocking TE’s that went ahead of Kacmarek went in round 2.

Most of the blocking tight ends went in the third
Marcus Zahn@Dolphini2

@OmarKelly I actually agree...the only run they missed was TE , resulting in the Kacmarek pick. A blocking TE is nice but not in the 3rd.... the 5th ok. But they have a vision and conviction

Cumulatively, I think this has been a solid draft that covered A LOT of needs for MIA. -3 WRs to bring competition to WR room -2 LBs to work on D -2 TEs to find a blocker &/or receiver &/or BOTH -2 DBs, 1 being a S which I hoped for -2 OL, 1 T/1 G Lets give this draft class time.

With their last pick, the Dolphins picked up Iowa EDGE Max Llewellyn. This spin move is nasty🔥

@Marcel_LJ @HollywoodxKev I like it a lot. Been a long time so e we’ve had more than 7 draft picks. Not everyone will pan out, but if we have a 50% hit rate that means at least 6-7 of these guys play ball for us for a while. Compared to only 3-4 if we had 7 picks. Tough, physical, and big. The JES way

@OmarKelly I’m seeing players that fit the Packer mold at Edge that we may be able to get in rounds 4 and 5 though. May have to trade up early on day 3 to get a S though that we really like.

This is a prediction. If the Dolphins don’t add an edge rusher in the second round there won’t be anyone of quality worth adding in the third.
