It requires great faith and a strong character to overcome adversities and disappointments. Many seemingly strong people eventually collapse under their burdens. The Lord never promised that our life would be trouble-free just because we decided to serve him. He promised to always be there for us and help us. Knowing that we don't have to tackle the suffering of life alone is a reassuring thought. When problems cloud the view and put entire societies under pressure, it is really time to turn to the Lord. He is the heavenly companion and we will overcome our problems in the peace of the Almighty.
