@samanya_kumar yeah and the amount of time spent on the delhi sultanate is so insane when they were literally invaders. Everything about them was foreign till the end. When i learned about them as a kid i couldnt relate a single bit

@Qu4ntum_ Tbh mughal irl were essentially glorified landlords of Delhi with control over neighbouring regions. Most of the time they weren't even able to secure the entire map of their empire that's shown in books. But copious amounts of ink are spent on them.

Unreal bs. The entire Vijayanagara empire came into existence as a reaction to muslim attacks and occupations down South. These people act like the South was holidaying in a resort. It's not the south's fault that you couldn't get a stable Hindu kingdom up North for a long time. We have our share of struggles with the Portuguese who were particularly extremely cruel. If only the Delhi centric history books covered our history thoroughly.

@SelvakP @viprabuddhi better quality of life by eventually being a burden on the economy by having less young people doing economic activities while having to take care of more old people who are a burden on the economy. Got it

The Hindi heartland doesn't have high TFR, it's the other states that have low TFR Who asked you to nuke your birth rates to oblivion? Even after doing all that, GDP PCI of your states hasn't reached $10k yet 🤡 Kerala has a TFR as low as ~1.0 now, but barely qualifies to be an upper middle income economy (with a shrinking population already) Your so called "development" is basically being poor among a bunch of beggars.

By defeating the Delimitation and Constitutional Amendment Bill, the opposition parties have done a great disservice to the Nation. With the freeze under Article 81 set to end after the first Census conducted post 2026, the forthcoming census exercise will reset seat distribution purely on population, potentially leading to a steep decline in representation for Southern, North-Eastern, and smaller states. The NDA’s proposal was a sincere effort to preserve federal balance, protect the voice of Southern, North-Eastern, and smaller states, and ensure 33% representation for women. It recognised that states which have performed well on key development indicators should not be penalised in the democratic structure. It is unfortunate that political agendas have prevailed over long term national interest. Those celebrating this outcome must introspect, we have lost an opportunity to secure a fair and constitutional safeguard for rightful representation. constitutionofindia.net/articles/artic…

It appears that this post was written by someone in the USA and then sent to Rahul Gandhi to post from his account. My guess is that it was written in George Soros’s office in New York. The word "gerrymander" is typically used in US politics for delimitation. This word was coined by former US Vice President Elbridge Gerry in 1812. The writer of this post was apparently not aware that this word is not commonly used in India and you can't expect the brain from Rahul Gandhi.
