Clarification on My Political Position We have noted recent media reports and discussions suggesting a possible realignment within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) due to the current challenges facing the party. In light of the misleading narratives in the public domain, I wish to state categorically that no final decision has been taken regarding my political future or that of my political associates. The recent Supreme Court judgment, while affirming the legitimacy of the David Mark-led National Working Committee (NWC), also remitted the matter back to the High Court. This has left the party in a precarious position. In addition, the Federal High Court has recently ruled to delegitimise the party’s recent convention. The Attorney General of the Federation has also strangely applied to a Federal High Court to deregister the ADC. We left the NNPP due to externally influenced legal problems that made our stay perilous. The ADC has now been also forced into this difficulty. Consequently, like other major stakeholders, we have commenced wide-ranging consultations — including with leaders from the NDC, PRP and others to explore the best options for protecting our democratic interests. We shall announce our decision in the soonest possible time. On the issue of presidential candidacy, I wish to recall my consistent record as a committed democrat. In the 2014 APC presidential primary, I came second to President Muhammadu Buhari (whom I fully supported to victory), with Atiku Abubakar third, Rochas Okorocha fourth, and the late Sam Nda-Isaiah fifth. Similarly, in 2019, I contested the PDP presidential ticket and immediately supported the winner, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, serving as the campaign’s coordinator in the North. I have always placed national interest and party unity above personal ambition. Furthermore, the ADC is yet to zone its presidential ticket or take any decision on a candidate. I have therefore neither declared any intention to run for president nor endorsed any aspirant. All speculations to the contrary are premature and unfounded. My absence from the two recent ADC stakeholders’ meetings was due to unavoidable personal commitments. I promptly communicated my apologies to the party leadership. We shall continue to engage constructively at all levels. Any definitive position on our political direction will be communicated formally through official channels at the appropriate time. Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, PhD, FNSE Former Governor, Kano State Former Minster of Defence

BREAKING NEWS SUPREME COURT OF NIGERIA UPHOLDS SUSPENSION OF ANYANWU, OTHERS; DECLARES MARCH CONVENTION AND ABDULRAHMAN’S APPOINTMENT NULL AND VOID. ABUJA, NIGERIA The Supreme Court of Nigeria, in a unanimous landmark judgment delivered today, Thursday, April 30, 2026, has upheld the suspension of Samuel Anyanwu, Kamaldeen Ajibade, SAN, Umaru Bature, and Okechukwu Osuoha. The apex court, in dismissing the appeal, reaffirmed the fundamental legal principle that the judiciary lacks the jurisdiction to interfere in the internal affairs of a political party. This ruling effectively terminates the protracted leadership dispute and restores constitutional order to the party’s administrative hierarchy.  Following this definitive ruling, the Supreme Court held that all actions, decisions, and appointments made by the suspended officials during the period of their suspension are null, void, and of no legal consequence whatsoever. By extension of this "doctrine of nullity," the court has invalidated the following: 1.The Purported National Convention: The event held between March 29 and 30, 2026, is hereby declared an illegality and is non-existent in the eyes of the law. 2.Leadership Appointments: The appointment of Abdulrahman Mohammed as Acting National Chairman is nullified. All documents signed, orders given, or representations made by him in that capacity are legally baseless. 3.Administrative Decisions: All communiqués, financial authorizations, and committee appointments initiated by the Anyanwu-led faction within the suspension window are voided. This judgment is a resounding victory for the rule of law and the sanctity of the party’s constitution. It serves as a stern warning that no individual, regardless of their former rank, is above the collective internal mechanisms of the party. The court’s refusal to assume jurisdiction reinforces the authority of the National Working Committee (NWC) to discipline its members without external interference, provided such actions align with the party’s governing documents. On this note, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), all financial institutions, and security agencies are required to take immediate note of this judgment. No recognition should be accorded to any individual or group whose purported authority stems from the invalidated March 2026 convention or the illegal leadership of Abdulrahman Mohammed. The party’s authentic leadership, as recognized prior to these illegalities, remains the sole authorized body to conduct official business, manage assets, and lead the party toward the upcoming electoral cycles. All loyal party members are to remain calm and united as the Party move forward with the task of institutional restoration.

Big moment for Lagos and the APC. Congratulations to Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat on emerging as our party’s Consensus Governorship Candidate. Your years of loyalty, consistency, and service have rightfully earned this mandate. I remain committed to support the re-election of our Leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. This is a call to stay united, disciplined, and focused on our collective progress. Our commitment to the party remains unwavering, fully aligned with the leadership and vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Now, the focus is simple: to secure victory and advance a more prosperous Lagos and Nigeria.
