🚨⏳ There is still no final agreement between Real Madrid and RB Leipzig for Yan Diomande. Confirmed by all parties involved. Unless something extraordinary happens before midnight, negotiations will continue tomorrow morning. ⚠️🆕 RB are demanding at least €120m almost guaranteed, with add-ons on top. After new rounds of negotiations today the total package is now very likely to exceed €120m. The deal is still on. Diomande only wants to join Real. A return from PSG is currently not expected. @berger_pj @philipphinze24 @SkySportDE 🇨🇮

Draymond Green has agreed to return to the Golden State Warriors on a one-year, $27.7 million deal, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul tells ESPN. The contract is the same Green opted out of to give the Warriors flexibility to pursue LeBron James, but the sides land his return Tuesday.

The Egypt game was enough evidence for me that refs were going to give Argentina AT LEAST 50.1% of calls. They called the game like they simple couldn’t afford to make even the slightest mistake at Argentina’s expense.

🚨| It’s now been confirmed: VAR was incorrectly used and Embolo should NOT have been sent-off vs Argentina. VAR can intervene in cases of error regarding identity, but NOT to overturn the decision in situations involving simulation.

@rowmehl @pudde18 They said: 1-it was used wrongly 2-they welcome (I’ll accept like, which doesn’t mean it wasn’t used wrongly based on the current laws) how it was used and will review it. 3-for it not be used as it was used until its reviewed. Read it.

@deejayfaremi @pudde18 They are literally saying they liked how it was used in the World Cup, in English so people don’t have to interpret legalese but even that isn’t clear enough

It’s still the same thing. The VAR intervention law (which is stupid BTW) was to specifically to do with mistaken identity situations. The incident itself was not to be reviewed. Which is to say if the ref made a mistake — as was the case in the two situations — the mistake itself can’t be changed. Only thing that can change is giving the right/wrong person the card. There was zero provision for bringing in another offence — the simulation.

@Xtereo You’re not reading. What I said was a generous might be ADOPTED. What they said was it will be REVIEWED. They said clearly that it was the wrong interpretation. Not my opinion or my words. Read the very last sentence of the screenshot.

@deejayfaremi It all comes down to interpretation, two different refs made same interpretation, and you’re saying their interpretation is wrong but yours is right ?? IFAB has even welcomed their interpretation and has said it “will be” not “might be” like you claimed included in d review

You guys are so funny. The 1st game the mistaken identity rule was applied to was the Paraguay vs USA , somehow that games isn’t generating any buzz it’s the Argentine game that’s doing that and all these nonsensical take about Argentina being favored. Now it’s 50.1%
