Something very unusual is happening in Pokémon right now. The hobby has crossed over from “collectible cards” into something much bigger, almost its own economy. You can feel it everywhere. Parents buying packs with their kids. Former collectors returning after 20 years away. High-end investors treating sealed cases like alternative assets. Livestream breakers moving thousands of packs in a single night. Card shops packed on release weekends. People grading modern cards by the hundreds. A few years ago most people would’ve laughed if you said Pokémon would become one of the strongest collectible markets on earth. Now it’s hard to argue otherwise. What’s fascinating is that this isn’t being driven by one single audience anymore. It’s gamers. Collectors. Nostalgia buyers. Speculators. Content creators. Sports card crossover buyers. International demand. Even people who simply like the artwork. And all of those groups are feeding energy into the same ecosystem simultaneously. The first massive wake-up call was during the pandemic era. That was the moment Pokémon escaped the boundaries of the hobby world and entered mainstream culture again. Suddenly everyone was paying attention: • vintage boxes exploding in value • stores getting cleaned out overnight • influencers opening ultra-high-end product publicly • people rediscovering childhood collections in closets Then something interesting happened. The market cooled off. Not catastrophically, just enough to shake out the idea that prices only move upward forever. A lot of people assumed that was the end of the mania. Then Pokémon released 151. And that product may end up being remembered as one of the smartest nostalgia plays the company has ever executed. Because it didn’t just attract hardcore collectors. It reactivated memories. People who hadn’t touched the hobby since elementary school suddenly wanted back in. That emotional connection is Pokémon’s real superpower. Not rarity. Not grading. Not speculation. Memory. And now we’re in this strange environment where: • modern cards sell at prices nobody would’ve believed years ago • sealed product disappears immediately • vintage demand remains healthy • population reports keep climbing yet buyers still appear At some point, though, the market probably overheats. That’s normal. Every fast-moving collectible market eventually needs a reset period where excitement cools and weaker hands exit. Some newer entrants haven’t experienced that part yet. Many came into Pokémon during nonstop upward momentum. Green portfolios. Constant hype. Daily sales posts. Eventually there will be pullbacks. Some products will get crushed. Some investors will exit badly. Some people holding too much sealed inventory will panic. But personally, I don’t think the hobby fully collapses. The foundation underneath Pokémon feels dramatically larger and more mature than it did during previous cycles. There’s simply too much infrastructure now: • creators • marketplaces • grading companies • conventions • local shops • global communities • lifelong emotional attachment to the brand And Pokémon understands controlled scarcity better than almost anyone in collectibles. Which is why I honestly wouldn’t be shocked if the 30th Anniversary pushes the market even further before the next major cooldown phase arrives. Because nostalgia is still undefeated. and Pokémon weaponizes nostalgia better than almost any franchise on earth…

The Brock Lesnar Holofoil is a numbered to 25 card. I have only seen two and bought both. Submitted them and achieved a PSA 9 on each and the only copies in the pop report. I have been actively hunting Brock 2004 football cards for nearly 17 years. The rarity is so strange as I would think more would come to market.

@kelskiYT Also PvE only so as to not have your shot ruined by rats/extract campers. Kill two birds one stone. An end game of sorts and a strictly PvE mode?

@kelskiYT Maybe implement a mechanic where you send a raider on an expedition, and that raider only can play up to 1-3 matches on a specific level, with a specific arc type with a specific loot tier. You die you gain nothing. You live you bring it back to your new raider? Exped. Incentive

This is what ARC Raiders is severely missing for lots of people A true END GAME level map/experience. Something to truly challenge everything you’ve learned, requiring your best gear with a price to pay for entry The Queen/Matriarch is cool, but still just doesn’t give that same vibe But hey, they ARE two different games, so maybe ARC leaning more towards its adventure exploration aspect could be a good thing I’m glad the two can coexist at least. Marathon is doing good shit though
Marathon Development Team@MarathonDevTeam

We have seen some reports asking if the final exfil in Cryo Archive is not working because it does not show on the overhead map. Cryo Archive is the most dangerous place in Marathon, escape is not guaranteed. You will need to interact with the ship's systems before the timer runs out to make sure you can get off the ship alive. There is a final exfil but it's only a true last resort, not a reliable way off the ship. It is more elusive than typical final exfils on other less difficult zones, leading to more risk if players choose to take this option. It is hidden from the map and only gives you 60 seconds to find it.
