I was having fun observing the Kibble-Zurek mechanism using the @meetIQM ⚛️ quantum computer. 👉 scirate.com/arxiv/2410.062…. We leveraged a symmetry-based noise renormalization strategy to perform up to 16 Trotter steps 🏁. with @Quantonio_ , @GrosQmichi and @CERNquantum.

Just a quick reminder that you can win a Nobel with an h-index = 29 (according to the usually inflated google scholar). Quantitative measures of scientific output are not the way to go to a bright future for humanity.

This year’s #NobelPrize laureate John Clauser built an apparatus that emitted two entangled photons at a time, each towards a filter that tested their polarisation. The result was a clear violation of a Bell inequality and agreed with the predictions of quantum mechanics.
