Here's an interesting experience we recently had with ChatGPT 5.6!
Rishikesh Gajjala@publishiperishi

GPT-5.6 Sol has claimed to resolved one of the five major problems in quantum information theory announced by KCIK (which carries a cash prize). We (@Quantum_Kishor @TobiasHaug_Q ) sat down to verify its claimed proof and surprisingly, we found another paper published the very next day, with NO AI acknowledgment, containing a proof and phrasing similar to what we got when we prompted it ourselves before the result was announced. An interesting coincidence!

@RiverLane_io I enjoyed going through the QEC report slides. Wondering why there were no dynamical codes

Which Quantum Error Correction (QEC) code will lead the future of quantum computing ❓ In the #TheQECReport2024, we dive into the critical QEC codes that could shape the next generation of quantum technology. Our interviews with top experts revealed a key theme: the ongoing competition between QEC codes to best protect quantum information against errors. While quantum low-density parity check (qLDPC) codes are gaining traction, the surface code continues to dominate. But with new breakthroughs emerging, the future of QEC codes is wide open—and the debate is far from over. Curious about which QEC code will come out on top? Want to know how QEC advancements could impact quantum computing in the years to come? Join us on 13th November at 5pm (GMT) for a webinar with @UCLQuantum's Dan Browne, Riverlane’s @earltcampbell, @IonQ’s @nic_delfosse and @Alice__Bob’s @J_Guillaud where we’ll answer your burning QEC questions, whether they're inspired by our report or beyond. Don't miss this chance to stay ahead of the curve in quantum computing! Sign up here: riverlane.com/quantum-error-… #quantumcomputing | #quantumerrorcorrection

@kunalsharmaq @IBM @IBMResearch Nice work, Kunal and Oles. I very much enjoyed reading the quantum refrigerator paper last year, when Toby told me about it. Looking forward to reading your work in detail.

1. We propose several families of Floquet qudit codes. 2. Our codes work for any three-colorable {p, 3}-lattice on a genus-g surface. 3. Our encoding rate asymptotically approaches 0.5 as the number of physical qudits increases. Joint work with Mile and Andrew (2/2)

Quantum error correction is essential for building scalable and reliable quantum computers. Over the past year, this is our fourth work on quantum error correction. We have posted our work on qudit Floquet codes on arXiv. arxiv.org/abs/2410.02022 (1/2)

Last week, Angrisani et al. showed that a classical simulation technique can efficiently estimate expectation values of many parametrized quantum circuits, on average across parameters. This week, we have a demo: pennylane.ai/qml/demos/tuto…

qLDPC codes reduce space overhead for fault tolerance, but logical computations with them often require serialized operations, increasing time costs. Looking for more efficient logical operations? Check out our new work arxiv.org/abs/2407.18490! (1/6)
