Dogs, housing, horses, music, molly dancing and history are my things. Oh and I'm type 1 diabetic on a wonderful medtronic 780G insulin pump and Libre CGM.

@DiabeticDadUK I just got one too... my favourite so far is sweet potato wedges. Because I am a lazy person I bought a bag from Tesco's sale shelf, they were awesome... instructions on the packet think if was 20 mins on 200. Crispy coating, swishy innards 😋

I've joined the Air Fryer revolution. I fear it'll be like a toastie maker - used to death for a few weeks, then packed away in a cupboard. Give me your best recipes! I have this one: amzn.to/3V1Ue3c

🔊Sound on!🔊 We're excited to introduce our new film, ‘What a cure feels like’, celebrating our transformation to Breakthrough T1D! The film features real people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D) and captures the relentless nature of living with T1D and the hundreds of extra decisions made each day. We would like to say a special thank you to @tara_humphrey and her daughter Tahlia, @LisWarren, @joem_ and his partner Salman and @Jonpeach5 who shared their experiences and worked alongside us to create this film. Together, let's raise awareness and inspire hope for a future without T1D💙 #BreakthroughT1D #WhatACureFeelsLike #T1D #GBDoc

@carldlsmith5 @DiabeticDadUK ...prior to having the pump. Previously (on pump and libre) was 15 to 25% in range (though had been ill with covid). Now? About 65 to 70% in range. PLEASE consider it. My path? Get on whatever tec you can and apply for all improvements as it's invented! Good luck 😀 @parthaskar

@carldlsmith5 @DiabeticDadUK ...pump takes the strain. In one 24 hour period there were 3 hours of "maximum insulin delivery" followed by 3 hours on "minimum insulin delivery", both accompanied by a beep and a BG test to ensure I was still alive!! But no matter, proves NO WAY I'd have predicted or coped..

Hi! Good morning, Banting Juice Botherers. If you have #T1D, then we share the same flavour of diabetes. Another thing we share, that we share with everyone else, is moving forward. You can't pause or rewind the life clock. So, all those diabetes mistakes, missed appointments, ignorance, etc, are a part of the past. You're human, you're not to blame, diabetes is the bad guy. Keep moving forward. Even if yesterday was a shit day, today is a new day. Reboot and go again. Have a tremendous Sunday.

@Anna90523382 I bought myself a band which you wear to gently hold the libre in place... this helped, along with additional patches which increase the area of stick...

V grateful for hcl but wish could have 1 or 2 Libre sensors to have in reserve. Had couple drop off. Libre did replace but wasn’t quite ready for new prescription so couldn’t order more from gp. This evening another dropped off think due to heat. Now on last one for couple #gbdoc

@DiabeticDadUK I am on the medtronic 780g which is very reliable, and now I am linking with guardian g4 sensors to HCL. I recommend both but don't know how easy it is to access for you... I had to meet some criteria but thankfully now been on HCL for about 3 months, it's great.

@RicDixon85 @DiabeticDadUK Morning! I've been on HCL for about 5 weeks now and my nights are MUCH better. Unsurprisingly this has led to much improved sleep 😀 even if my daytime line is still 📈📉📈📉... I had very 'up and down' nights before and variable, so hope you have the same improvement x

Good morning, the long in bank holiday bed. The helping HCL hand really never gets old. Pump infusion sets, however... grrrrr! Or maybe I just chose the wrong area. Two painful days have resulted in a large bruise on my stomach. Tech helps. Diabetes still hurts.

I’m recovering well after my surgery to get rid of whatever tumours they found in my abdomen, plus my uterus, ovaries, cervix and fallopian tubes! Back on the chemo tomorrow. I friend told me I would be even more fatigued, Titch doesn’t care! #ovariancancer #chemo #ilovemylife

@DiabeticDadUK What I have accepted is that, if I don't pay some attention, I'll have to spend much longer in hospital over the course of my life, than I want to. Once I got that, caring about A1c / TIR kind of follows. It hasn't been an easy journey...

@DiabeticDadUK My a1c has never been that good, in 40 years! The HCL is improving that 🤞which is 💯 but also means * I can (mostly) sleep through * I worry about it all less * my rubbish maths skills are no longer needed all the time * confident I'll need less hospital time as I age 😀

Good morning, sweet blooded folk. I saw an A1c of mine from 2017. It was 6.9%. I was on MDI (x7 or x8) and finger pricking (x10+) to achieve that. My A1c today is 6.7% So, why do people like me need HCL? Why do you need HCL? #GBDoc #DOC #T1D
