Our beautiful desert Southwest, I’m still feeling a pangs of grief over the senseless death of Andrew Cross (Desert Drifter on YouTube). I will miss his kind spirit and traveling along with him exploring the canyons, rock art, and his shared knowledge of the ancient pueblo people.

DIY solar is a huge untapped market. Thousands get it, most lack the education and skills to do it right. Power companies and municipalities in the US will tell you that you need to permit, get approval, pay permits, get inspections. But there are so many off grid options that don’t feed back into the grid that are super useful and require no permission. No different than wiring in a generator disconnect.

I’m all for improving access, but not at the cost of quality or innovation. A realistic approach would be expanding competition, improving price transparency, and holding insurance companies accountable. Government can play a role, but full control isn’t the answer. But I’m also nobody lol

People aren’t the issue. Old money is. Corporations want coal, they want oil, they want natural gas. It’s about predictable income and control. Energy Independence is solar on your roof or multiple power companies vying for your business. These entities will slander, lie, and cheat their way into public opinion to protect the monopoly.

@Fire5280 @proudelephant Universal healthcare in 72 countries doesn’t mean it works. Most of those countries have small, homogeneous populations and still struggle. Ask Canada about rural access or the UK about NHS wait times. Scale it to 330 million people and watch it break.

I will speculate here. There seemed to be no issues with Adam Cole in his last match on TV and no reports of injury after the match. For him to be out for a considerable time would indicate Concussion like symptoms. Hopefully he will address it on Dynamite

Safer in that the waste can’t be weaponized and less waste, but nuclear waste is nuclear waste. BESS is to solar that fracking is to oil in gas. We will see a proliferation of solar and batteries across the US backed by natrual gas. But I suspect that long term, even the gas will be taken offline.
