@Quickteller @InterswitchGRP @OPay_NG @wemabank @NIBSS_NG @cenbank @fccpcnigeria PUBLIC WARNING TO CUSTOMERS — PLEASE BE CAREFUL DEALING WITH THESE PAYMENT SYSTEMS I have now spent several days trying to resolve a failed transaction and delayed reversal involving these institutions, and honestly this experience has been extremely stressful and disappointing. The most shocking part is the response I received from Wema Bank claiming that the receiving account is an “affiliate wallet/remittance account” and that they do not have direct control or access regarding the transaction handling. As a customer, this raises serious concerns: How can a financial institution allow accounts/payment wallets to operate through its banking infrastructure, but then say customers must chase multiple other institutions when something goes wrong? This situation has left me trapped between: - The sending bank, - The payment processor, - The remittance/payment platform, - And the receiving/payment infrastructure. Meanwhile, the customer is left waiting for days without access to their funds. I was originally informed that this process should normally take around 24 hours. Instead, several days have now passed with: - Delays, - Different explanations, - Repeated apologies, - And no completed resolution yet. This issue has caused: - Financial stress, - Emotional exhaustion, - Disruption to important travel arrangements, - And serious frustration. At this point, I sincerely advise customers to be extremely careful when handling urgent or high-value transactions through systems where responsibility becomes unclear once a transaction problem occurs. Customers deserve: - Clear accountability, - Fast reversals, - Transparent communication, - And proper coordination between financial institutions. No customer should have to spend days chasing multiple institutions just to recover their own money after a failed transaction. I sincerely hope this issue gets resolved urgently and that stronger customer protection and accountability measures are improved going forward.

Several days ago, a high-value transaction was successfully debited from my account through the official payment process. After waiting for an extended period, I was later informed that the transaction FAILED and that a reversal process had been initiated. However, despite all the promises, follow-ups, escalations, and assurances that this case has been “prioritized,” the funds are STILL not returned to my account until this moment. Initially, I was informed that the issue should normally be resolved within approximately 24 hours. Instead, more than 24 hours passed, then several more days passed, while I kept receiving different timelines and repeated apologies without the actual completion of the reversal. Today is Friday and the working week in Nigeria is already ending, yet the funds are still unresolved. If this reversal was truly being handled with urgency and priority as repeatedly claimed, the funds should already have reflected by now. However, despite this confirmation, the funds are still not returned. Initially, I was informed that the transaction required 24 hours. Later, different timelines were given, while the funds still remain unresolved even after several days. At this point, I respectfully need all involved institutions to understand that this is not a small issue for the customer involved. This unresolved transaction has already caused: - Serious financial stress, - Emotional pressure, - Important travel disruption, - And major uncertainty regarding urgent personal arrangements. Yet the reversal is still not completed. A failed transaction and reversal process should not continue endlessly while the customer remains under pressure and uncertainty regarding their own funds. However, the situation has now become even more stressful and confusing because: - One support representative informed me the reversal may arrive tomorrow, - Another communication suggested it could take until May 21, 2026, - And despite all these delays, there is still no clear confirmed timeline. This uncertainty is unacceptable for such a large amount of money. This issue is directly connected to a very important and time-sensitive travel arrangement. I already explained multiple times that this travel is extremely important for me personally and financially, and the delays have now placed my booking and plans in serious danger. I have contacted support repeatedly through: - Email - WhatsApp - Phone support - X/Twitter Yet customers are still left waiting with uncertainty while large amounts remain unresolved. I have fully cooperated from the beginning: - I provided all receipts, - All transaction references, - Session ID, - Screenshots, - And every requested detail. No customer should have to go through this level of stress and confusion after completing a legitimate transaction successfully from their side. At this stage, I am urgently requesting: 1. Immediate escalation of this reversal, 2. Immediate coordination between all involved institutions, 3. And a clear confirmed timeline for when the full amount will be returned. Customers deserve transparency, proper communication, and timely resolution when handling high-value financial transactions. Please resolve this urgently.
