What are people paying for a full contract shearing rate? We have a good house available for them to use and we give them food. 3 stand shed with around 1700 ewes and lambs to shear

@jsmort2 @AusGrassland Sort of depends in the variety.. Annuals are annual. If it’s a true Westerwold, no chance. If it’s more of an Italian type, there’s some chance that some plants will survive in a soft year. However data shows these survivors perform poorly in second year, compared to a re-sow

Has anyone had any success in running an annual ryegrass through summer? Sown in August. Just taken weaned lambs off. Majority going to seed. Thinking about slashing it in front of rain and getting another graze off it or will it go straight to head? Located CW NSW. Thanks

@RositaDaz48 @PoliBard I think the heart of this is, a requirement of a definition of ‘exactly what is aboriginal’.? I look on with interest.!!

Indigenous leader Michael Mansell is standing firm in his claim that Senator Jacqui Lambie is not Aboriginal, with the issue now a high-stakes battle before the Australian Human Rights Commission. Senator Lambie, who claims Aboriginal descent along with 30,000 other Tasmanians, has made a formal complaint alleging Mr Mansell’s attack on her Aboriginality constitutes racial hatred under the federal Racial Discrimination Act. theaustralian.com.au/nation/indigen…

The Greens have secured an inquiry into price gouging in supermarkets. While you can barely afford to put food on the table, Coles and Woolworths rake in obscene profits. Last financial year they posted over $2 billion in profits combined. The rip-off has to end.

@Climate_Earth20 All while they own seaside property, and charter private jets to a city in the Middle East desert fuelled solely by fossil fuels, to pontificate about the damage done to the climate by your cows. I’m not the smartest in the room, but I’m not an idiot..!!

Methane makes up 0.00017% (1.7 parts per million by volume) of the the atmosphere, yet they tell you to stop eating it! **Cows do not contribute to Climate shifts. It's unscientific and absolute hogwash.

71% of the Earth's surface is water-covered, and this sounds like a lot of water. But only 0.12% of Earth's total volume is liquid water. Look at this chart. The largest sphere represents all of Earth's water. Its diameter is about 860 miles and has a volume of about 1,386,000,000 cubic kilometers km³). The blue sphere over Kentucky represents the world's liquid fresh water (groundwater, lakes, swamp water, and rivers). The volume comes to about 10,633,450 km³. Do you notice the "tiny" bubble over Atlanta, Georgia? That one represents fresh water in all the lakes and rivers on the planet. Most of the water people and life of earth need every day comes from these surface-water sources. The volume of this sphere is about 22,339 mi3 (93,113 km3). 71%, therefore, is a quite misleading number.

As the dredges fire up at the Murray Mouth it's worth noting that 34,000GL has flowed into South Australia over the past 2 years & yet we are expected to believe an extra 450GL will magically negate the need to dredge the Murray Mouth. It's a BIG FAT LIE abc.net.au/news/2023-11-2…
