@SulloReport @HenryWi86212968 @TrackingFires @spectatorindex You guys are completely insane to give up all your guns. They will rule over you with an iron fist

@FarmerTonyWhite I had a similar issue with my D-Max while under warranty. Insurance wouldn’t cover as it was a know manufacturers fault, Isuzu wouldn’t cover as 2 inch lift put on when I bought it. Dm me if you want to know more

@AgriFocused Negatives outweigh the positives imo. Less competition in rural merchandise etc. Bigger companies seem to have more admin costs etc that outweigh any benefit in purchasing power etc. Will be interesting to see if ACCC allow

@AMC_DirtDollars @FarmTableAU 50 mm for the week here Charlie. Great top up. Having a great spring here, very lucky.
English

23mm so far for the week at Canowindra NSW. Where else has it fallen? Seems relatively general in NSW at least. Hope it’s hitting the areas where needed #whosgottherain #rain #ausag #agchatoz

@jsmort2 $60 per engine hr
You could price check against Gaffy’s tractor hire or another hire business.
English

@jsmort2 Hired a 360 hp Fendt Last harvest $150/hr plus GST min 30 hours per week.
English

@jsmort2 300hp front wheel assist tractors were $120 an hour ish Jocko to dry hire (+-$20). With minimum hour requirements of 80 hrs a month or something. Maybe half or 2/3 the above? Treat it like a hire car - photos/damage report before it goes.

@andyg00d @hasselljpb Yes NZ is planning on reinstating live export.
nzherald.co.nz/nz/politics/li…”%20were%20developed.
English

@hasselljpb How many farmers live export?
How did NZ live exporters transition? They built processors/found new markets/value added. Like any modern business they adapted!
Aussie food security does not depend on live export, it depends on modern innovative business, resilient to meet change

@coyle_tim @KerinPollMerino @baileyagco Tim what do you think the possible reasons those good livestock operators have gone to cropping? More profit? Less workload? Less market volatility?
English

@KerinPollMerino @baileyagco It sticks out down here in the Riverina as well, some of those that still run stock are just the ‘couldn’t be bothered doing anything types’ & have nil pasture base, the ones that used to push their pasture & treat them like crops have mostly gone cropping

" YOU CAN'T STARVE PROFIT INTO A BUSINESS”
Has the fixation on cutting input costs 💰 in the high rainfall grazing zones of Australia actually cut the head off the goose that laid the golden egg?
IT NOW SEEMS TO BE A RACE TO THE BOTTOM 🤷♂️
INPUT COSTS 20 ha paddock planted 14/4/24
Lime $148 ha
Fertilizer $180 ha
Chemical $125 ha
Pasture seed $210 ha
Contract rates $180 ha
Total input costs $843 ha or $341 acre =$16860:00
TURNOVER
*288 heifers have grazed the 20 ha pdk 3 times for total of 24 days @ an Average daily gain 1.9 kg per head = 13132 kilos of weight gain @ $3:75 kg = $49248:00 divided by 20 ha = $2462:00 ha or $996:00 acre
Return on investment in 5 months = 292%
Cut the fat out of your business not the muscle 💪 Grass
Rough maths let me know your thoughts 🤷♂️

Amazing there are only 2 left flying.
My father in law and his brother used to ride the bikes to Tocumwal where there were lines of Lancaster's waiting to be scrapped. They searched the insides for live amo left behind and then hid in Lancaster's when security chased them.

@jsmort2 Not too much to ask, just need to find a farmer that you have good communication with, that you can work out cost/profit share that suits.
We respect property ownership with 25% share of crop and machinery ownership with full contract rates. 50:50 on all costs
