As President, I would read 10 letters a day sent to me by ordinary Americans. At the Obama Presidential Center, we’ll have some of the letters I read — and responded to — every night. I still get emotional reading them, and it’s one of my favorite exhibits.

**DominicJohnR** Nancy Mace claimed Republicans on the House Oversight Committee killed her Jan 2026 motion to subpoena Ilhan Omar’s & Ahmed Hirsi’s immigration records during a Minnesota fraud hearing. The motion was tabled (no full vote). Reports say members (across lines) wanted the Ethics Committee to handle it instead. No specific Republican names have been publicly identified for blocking it. Mace used this to argue both parties protect their own. The 4 GOP names you sometimes see (Flood, Hurd, McClintock, Mills) were from a *different* Sept 2025 Omar censure vote.

This morning, I observed several mega master hearings — a new tactic the Trump administration is using where up to 100 people appear before an immigration judge as if they are on an assembly line. Trump has turned our immigration system into a factory, denying due process and ignoring the law to indiscriminately and illegally remove our immigrant community members from this country. This is a blatant violation of due process, and it must be stopped.

@BraddrofliT It’s not right at all. Homeowners should not be taxed in this way. One tax at settlement and that’s it. County still makes money off of permits & salestax in Florida

If taxing unrealized gains is somehow “unfair” for billionaires holding stock, then why are middle class homeowners hit every year with rising property taxes based on the unrealized value of their home? Most people haven’t sold their house. They haven’t “realized” anything. Yet the tax bill keeps going up anyway.
