In Ange Postecoglou's first 50 Premier League games in charge of Spurs - they got 85 points, at an average of 1.7ppg. 1.7 x 38 = 65 pts, which is 1 less than Newcastle who are 5th in this seasons Premier League. If you take away the best ever start to a managerial tenure in Premier League history, which many people seem keen to do for some reason, that total falls to 1.48ppg, 56 pts which is 9th in this seasons Premier League. Now that 12th game was a 4-0 win at the Etihad. It was after this in December that the squad began to really fall apart with injuries. I'm tired of seeing this "66 games" nonsense or this idea that he can't coach in the Premier League. There's a 50-game sample size there where he's doing well. He's then got 26 games with extenuating circumstances while he delivers a huge success in the Europa League, as well as well reaching a QF & SF in two other cup competitions. All that with young players, a radically different style of football, no Kane etc. It's called a project, it's called a build. When you look at the dressing room reaction, I really do think it was a poor decision. That said, I think he's laid great foundations for the next manager.

Ange Postecoglou will infinitely have my respect for winning the Europa League. Only 2 other managers in Spurs' history can boast that. However I'm still of the opinion he has to go this Summer. 17th in the league with 22 losses is shambolic regardless of what we did in Europe. The smart thing to do would be to try to tempt Thomas Frank & build a project with all these young players we have. Try & bring Mbeumo along with him while signing an experienced midfielder player.
