@luxembutch Alienated the peasants and didn’t have any sort of tactical flexibility whatsoever

braden🇵🇸🇨🇺☀️🚩@bandtistbraden
NIKOLAI BUKHARIN 🇷🇺 - Russian revolutionary and leader of the Right Opposition within the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) OR ROSA LUXEMBURG 🇵🇱 - German revolutionary and founder of the Communist Party of Germany and the Spartacus League
English

@bandtistbraden >founder of the red army
>random social democrat military official
Jeez this sure is a tough one
English

🚨☭ THE GREAT SOCIALIST BRACKET ☭🚨 A bracket including EVERY socialist EVER ☭🚩 VOTE (do electoralism) in the replies 🗳️, all matchups have polls! Who is the greatest socialist?? ☭👑
English

@luxembutch Bela Kun was a fucking idiot but he lead the Hungarian Soviet republic and was a lion so
English

@R0dchenko don’t know much abt kun but liebknecht was worse than luxemburg bc he was a horrible tactician too
English

@luxembutch Yeaaah but Bukharin took the correct position on the state sooner than nearly anybody else in any party on earth, much before Lenin did. To me he represents one of the first ruptures with kautskyism and second international orthodoxy on questions outside of the war
English

@R0dchenko i think if we go retard for retard, democracy fetish isn’t as bad as sioc (even tho his sioc wasn’t what stalin later defined it as, it laid the groundwork)
English

We're gonna hunt down all the people that vote Bukharin by the way. Idc if he was a funny guy he's not the goat

@PunishedCommie Right, but the armed wing of the far right isn’t being bankrolled by industrialists right now, like the original fascists were, because there is not revolutionary movement to be put down. These people just have no reason to exist
English

I mean, I would say that the PNF were gay larpers to an extent as well, the only real difference between the two is that historical fascists (although not many) held state power, and contemporary fascists do not, also contemporary fascists have broadened their “range” as in they aren’t really restricted in their “membership”, as we know filipinos are the strongest white supremacists, compared to historical fascists
English

Which also brings me to the point that even if you do accept that a definition of fascism is necessary people are BAFFINGLY fucking bad at it. The fact that the term corporatism almost never comes up is insane. Which ironically brings be back the the point that the term is useless because an accurate description of fascism would only apply to maybe 2-4 countries, including Francoist Spain, which is generally not considered fascist. It’s all a mess.
English

I don’t think they honestly share that much in common besides being racist violent and pro-state, which again, can be said of all national conservatives. They can’t really be called counter revolutionary, there is no revolutionary force out there to counter, and they certainly aren’t corporatists. They’re gay larpers
English

@PunishedCommie To me, fascism was the ideology of the PNF and RFP. Any sort of attempt to broaden it beyond that is bizarre, and draws a distinction from the liberal bourgeoisie where there often is none whatsoever
English

@PunishedCommie I don’t think you get what I mean. I don’t think we should ignore what the bourgeois state does but I genuinely don’t see the value in separating their actions at any given time into weird categories, especially into one simultaneously incredibly narrow and incredibly broad
English

I don’t agree. To agree with that I’d have to agree that fascism is some sort of unique phenomenon separate from any other old National Conservative Party, which I don’t, because it’s not. Nothing at all meaningful sets fascist Italy apart from Horthy’s Hungary or Tojo’s Japan. Because fascism is not a real thing, it’s a boogeyman of the liberal bourgeoisie.
English

@R0dchenko I don’t think it’s a waste of time to define fascism, it’s an ongoing academic and public conversation and it’s fine like Fredda, who is more qualified then most of the general population specifically on political history and political theory, to give their views on it
English

@PunishedCommie I genuinely do not understand why fascism is even a term that Marxists take remotely seriously I’m not gonna lie. I feel like more of us should be able to see through this shit
English

The whole video. I think it’s a waste of time to try to define fascism, and kinda silly to pretend that the term had any explanatory power (or ever did quite frankly). To me it’s like giving some grand overarching explanatory power to like, the Whig party or something. It’s so hard to define because it’s meaningless and stupid, and it’s kind of divorcing it from class struggle to pretend otherwise
