The End of UW Light: it feels like just a year ago I was in first year reading my teammates goodbye messages, but 4 years later my time has finally come. Playing collegiate valorant was by far my favourite experience in university and I wanted to thank everyone involved ♥️ 1st year: B team (@iichiraa , @chakarontv , @tesawv , @armanishmae1 , nix): I remember I slit my finger and had to get stitches the day before the tryout, so I was so happy to even make the B team. To this day one of the funniest team chats I’ve ever been in and y’all were the first friends I made at UW. I had the most growth in this team starting as diamond 1 to getting radiant for the first time. A team (@DamoIAM , @OfficialToph_ , @R0dzy , @Vexonuss , July ) when you guys first asked me to join I remember I yacked before our first game because of how nervous I was. I always looked up to you guys and you paved the way for UW Gold. I’m happy with the run we had with our first loss together being in the grand finals. 2nd year: + @Kip625 , @silentwhy_ , @lilD_val , @HavexTV went on one of the craziest runs with this team beating some stacked teams. Ended up being the core for TLP which is pretty funny and I’m glad I was able to play my last RBCC with y’all. 3rd year: + @__smoodies , @theskyaakash probably our highest achieving year reaching the rank 1 canadian team in power rankings and making it to the collegiate championships. this was the first year esports started feeling real with jerseys, media day, and meeting each other for the first time. 4th year: UW White: I always knew waterloo had some cracked girls and once I saw other schools making a female/marginalized gender team I knew I needed to do the same. It was a great experience helping to form a team from nothing by running tryouts, to picking the team, to coaching y’all for the first summer. I knew you guys would be #1 and I’m proud of y’all for still dominating. I’m glad I was able to make a lasting impact creating a team and made good friendships along the way. Gold team: + @trilohgee , @jstnczr Some cracked youngsters, I know y’all will carry on the legacy. By far my favourite year of university, it makes me regret not living on main campus the other years. From being able to play and win my first lan with y’all to having constant team bonding such as gyming, dinners, parties, and more, these are all my favourite memories from uni and makes me sad it’s over. We became more than just a team, you’ll all be my family for life. Thanks to all the staff at @/ UWaterlooGG for making this happen, I’m sorry for all the problems I’ve caused, I’m finally off your hands 🤣. At the start of the year I said I wanted to end my collegiate career with a bang, and it looks like we did 💥 #goblackgogold #gowhitegogold
