@akarlin @prabhavjain85 Another thing to take into account is India infant mortality is elevated and sex ratio skewed. I saw a calculation that meant it's actually similar to 1.8 when adjusting for both factors.

This map, from @prabhavjain85, is fascinating. Much of India already has TFRs on par with those of Western Europe or Latin America. Look at West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, or Kerala: 1.3! That is below Brazil’s (1.52) or the United Kingdom’s (1.44) and getting close to Italy’s (1.14). If you are going to tell me some hypothesis about India’s family structure being “different” (i.e., higher marriage rates) in keeping fertility high, you’d better have a good explanation for West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. At the same time, you still have Bihar at 2.9 and Uttar Pradesh at 2.6. So right now, the best way to think about India demographically is as two distinct countries: a region with a high TFR and a region with quite a low TFR. Of course, this will have large consequences for the internal politics of India.

UK Net-Migration drops significantly to just +171,000 in FY25. This is significantly down from a record, +944,000 in the year to March 2023. The decrease is mainly driven by falling numbers of people coming to the UK from outside the EU. bbc.co.uk/news/live/cvgz…

Net migration to the UK amounted to +171K in 2025, down from +331K in 2024. While British (-136K) and EU citizens (-42K) are leaving in large numbers, the amount of non-EU-migration (+350K) is still at a high level.

@avrilbradley23 I fly with Ryanair to Mecca. I eat my KFC Twister. I drink my Pepsi. After pilgrimage I get a air con cab to the mall. I watch Mission Impossible 433 (sex scene was shortened tho). I waddle outside and watch the Champions League final and make a cheeky Sharia compliant bet.

@razibkhan That would have happened anyway. India grew due to it's demographic transition, same as Bangladesh. You could put Clavicular in charge and it'd grow at 6%.

@akarlin Im all for "dieing" for a cause(pays substitute) but what I can't support is throwing people at a meat grinder solely to moral fag. I would say maybe a symbolic fight like the Austo Prussian war but I don't think its worth 10k for a statement.

Trump on Taiwan: > You know, when you look at the odds, China is a very, very powerful, big country. That’s a very small island. Think of it, it’s 59 miles away. 59 miles. We’re 9,500 miles away. That’s a little bit of a difficult problem. How is he wrong?

Much pop-natalism is just denial of death. You could have 20 children or more and you will still die and be forgotten. Your descendants will all eventually cease to be and you’ll be just as gone forever from this world as that couple. By all means, have kids! But memento mori.

@SaladBarFan Ron Unz pointed out Americans basically don't really give a shit about diversity as long as it isn't black. Dems win in minority white states New Mexico/Hawaii vs in like Mississippi where there's like 3rd world level racial voting blocs.

@SaladBarFan By 2105 the dominant American tribe will probably identify simply as American, biologically mainly White with Eurasian blend of Hispanic, Asian, and Indian ancestry, culturally fully Americanized, with Blacks remaining the country's enduring 'Other' caste.

RE-OPEN THE SIZZLERS@SaladBarFan·
America in 2105 will be full of racists: racist whites, racist blacks, racist Asians, racist Hispanics, and even racist mixed race, triracial, or quadracial individuals. Interracial marriage is acting as a selective pressure on whites which raises IQ and ethnocentrism. Outlawing interracial marriage would promote “regression to the mean,” removing the selective pressures which are increasing white racism. At 20% of the population, whites will still be overrepresented in business, finance, the military, media, and culture. The fastest growing religions (Mormons, Amish, and Orthodox Jews) will still be majority white. Whites with low ethnocentrism will select themselves out of the white gene pool, making the remaining whites much more racist. Racism will not be eliminated in the 21st century. Instead, the 22nd century will be the most racist century imaginable, especially as gene editing, gene therapy, IVF, and other forms of selective breeding become technologically inevitable.

@hecubian_devil I think this is an overly intellectualised misdiagnosis. Most people are in fact less concerned about anomie than ever before. Liberalism is in retreat because both left and right believe that liberal institutions are oppressing them and preventing them from achieving prosperity.

A lot of libs lately grappling with the political crisis liberalism presently faces (and that’s basically a good impulse), but I haven’t seen anybody *really* get down to brass tacks about the assumptions baked in. Much discussion of “we are so vastly wealthier then even our very recent ancestors, so much healthier, so much less subject to the grief of loss from disease or starvation, etc, yet people don’t seem to be crediting liberalism for delivering it,” but not a lot of questioning the basic premise that this glorious increase in material abundance *on a fundamental level* may not optimize for happiness and contentment. In other words, I see a lot of libs getting halfway there, trying to figure out “how do we get people to appreciate what we’ve accomplished?” but very little serious consideration of whether the project itself is critically flawed, if the things liberalism and capitalism optimize for are *not actually what drives contentment*—at least not on balance. I don’t think they’ll be able to really address the crisis of liberalism without thinking this through deeply

has Trump ever talked about a European leader like this? Silly question. …Meloni, Orban, for starters. Mark Levin is "The Great" too. Trump's notion of greatness is a bit impoverished.
