I’ve been trying to draw attention to the problem of speeding drivers using the center turn lane on Lake Street after the red bus lanes were added by @MetroTransitMN and @Hennepin. How many times will the poles in the island at 34th Ave need to be replaced?

@googlemaps Hi there again @googlemaps. You said the same three weeks ago. People are speeding by schools. Please fix asap.

I would support any mayoral candidate that vowed to remove all the billboards from Minneapolis:
“It’s not nice to look at. It feels so much more commercial, rather than a neighborhood environment, to have a bunch of billboards up.”

@johnkonrad As a former ski instructor I can 100% confirm this is true and it’s also the reason so many small ski town main streets are struggling. They don’t actually provide goods to the community or the tourists.

@googlemaps Also the east.west streets were showing 20mph but are now 25mph which is incorrect.

@RLaker84 @mollypeonies @Mousebacon @EthanFawley 4:00 to 6:00 everyday it is far worse than ever before. Speaking of signaling though I spoke with the Metro Transit project coordinator and he didn’t think City Minneapolis has done anything to adjust the Lake/River Road Signal Timing.

@mollypeonies @R27D @Mousebacon @EthanFawley I drive this stretch all the time. Traffic flows fine 90% of the time. And it was very backed up last night because everyone forgot to drive in the snow, and were pushing the limits of traffic signaling.
English

@mollypeonies @Mousebacon @EthanFawley Compounded by Metro Transit / MPLS/ StP lack of coordination. Just waiting for someone to shout “just take the bus if you don’t like traffic”. 9 minute off peak drive was 35 minutes during rush hour tonight which is still 10 minutes faster than the bus non-peak.

@R27D @Mousebacon @EthanFawley YUUUPP. Another example of “good” ideas with the right intentions but very little deeper analysis or community-centered design. It’s what frustrates me most about this city—personal beliefs/goals over community-led design. White elitism at its peak.

@AlecStapp @DOGE They should also look into why everyone who owns a “home healthcare service” is ridiculously wealthy.

@ReAptNNN @loganzuber17 This one for sure. It’s help up excellent in every camper van I’ve built.

@PhilmerPhiI Some attention to repainting the faded bike lanes and green lanes we already have elsewhere in the city besides Uptown sure would be nice.

It's nearly all but guaranteed that Lyndale Avenue will have a protected bikeway in a few years. This is really huge! #LivableLyndale
