SCOOP: Off of @EleanorTerrett's scoop from yesterday on the @Ripple - @SECGov settlement negotiations, one issue that is being weighed by the commission is whether $XRP continues to trade and have a utility that makes it more a commodity and not a security. I am told the @ethereum example is key; $ETH was obviously issued as an ICO; its characteristics on issuance was no different than $XRP--both used to finance the buildout of a platform, yet Ripple got sued and Ethereum didn't because $ETH had since morphed into a commodity. What is being discussed now is the comparison between the 2 cryptos. The SEC believe Eth trades as pure commodity. They are trying to determine if the commission can make that case w $XRP.

The major indexes are oversold and could certainly rally any day. Some of the largest up days can occur during corrections and bear markets. But the market is still fragile, risk is high, and volatility is likely to remain elevated. The Russell 2000 has been the hardest hit of the major indexes, down 17% off the highs. I have not yet covered my $SPY short initiated on Feb. 24. I am not interested in getting aggressive in the market or participating too much until I see evidence that the correction is over and individual stocks are working from breakout levels. People think #RLUSD is going to send #XRP to the moon immediately. Here is my take TLDR; 1. RLUSD approval has pumped the price up from 1.90 to 2.35 (at time of writing this) 2. This is purely a speculative pump and not one driven by fundamentals 3. The real pump will happen when the AMM/LP are setup and people realise they can earn 5% APY on chain with zero counterparty risk 4. Then you will see serious money flows into the XRPL 5. Exchanges will want to capitalise on this and so they will provide RLUSD staking, while they directly lock XRP on the XRPL and make % returns. 7. People will look to swapping USDT to RLUSD. and transferring them to their self custody wallets. This allowing them to use RLUSD to buy XRP. tokens, etc using the DEX. And of course buying LP tokens to make 5 to 6% return on their tokens (buying using both XRP/RLUSD is better than just putting one or the other) So what this will do is raise the demand for XRP and order of magnitude, as on exchange asks dwindle down. Market Makers will struggle with price, bots that suppress price will struggle to keep prices at bay. Expecting this to happen from now until end of Feb.

My biggest edge as a daytrader is risking little and not interfering with an ongoing trade by playing PS5. 🙄
