The 17.05 is interesting. We gambled this race last year with RANGER THUNDERBOLT 5/1. TERRIES ROYAL was targeted for the Leger Legends and threw it away, losing to a big Fahey plot job. Off same weight with a better jockey on, he’ll be bang there if he runs straight. Has Marquand picked TERRIES ROYAL over AMSTERDAM or was Oisin first pick? Maybe latter but TERRIES better handicapped in our view with room to improve. Near top weight MR BALOO is a big mud lover - if he’s trying he might be able to take this now up to a mile. Hollie Doyle’s husband to give TERRIES 5/4 ROYAL a front running special and try not to get caught by the late charge from MR BALOO 12/1 (if he’s trying! … his mark might need to come down so that’s always a danger without info). Both a small play in the lucky last.
