OK brace yourselves because it's a long ride LOL. This was during my teenhood. There was this guy I used to be really close to. We were basically glued to each other, talked all the time, said ''I love you'', basically did everything together. Our attachment was SO toxically co-dependent that we would both puke every time we were apart even just for a few hours, just to give an idea on how bad it was. Then I found out he was taken through IRL friends. I didn’t even know by who. It made no sense because we were literally together 24/7. The idea of parting ways and finding out the truth after being that bonded did sting very very strongly for a while. Eventually his girlfriend gave him an ultimatum and we permanently drifted apart. (Codependency is no joke, I got secure attachment now though yay!) Then a year later I started getting harassed on Instagram by random accounts that turned out to be her. She was targeting me and my friends, spreading rumors, just painting me as a person I wasn't. I had already moved on by then, so I just told her to move on too because I genuinely couldn't care less about him or her at all. She stopped after a while. Fast forward a couple of years, a girl from a server I used to moderate messaged me asking for relationship advice because I seemed reliable. We ended up becoming friends, I introduced her to my friend groups, she would talk to me about her relationship all the time, I'd give her advice or tell her what to do, and she basically became part of my daily routine. Then five years pass. I’m watching one of my friend's stream. Literally 1 viewer, aka me. And the voice of their duo sounded very familiar. I suddenly realize he's playing with THAT guy. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? I ask: ''is that x'' He says yes. I told him to tell the duo to add me on Discord just to catch up because… it’s been years, we were dumb teens back then, and hearing his adult voice was just mind blowing to me LOL, we're adults now type shi. We talk again. He’s still together with the same girl, which honestly surprised me because damn, it lasted that long through all of that? I add him on Discord and notice he has ONE singular mutual friend with me: that same girl who reached out to me years ago. I immediately ask her how she knows him. She goes, “Wtf you're both texting me about this, you’re both being so weird'', she says she found him through Twitter but also that he was talking mad shit about me, etc. I really hated the idea of someone from my past painting me badly to a friend of mine without proof, so I told her who he was, our entire story and showed EVERY screenshot I had with him. EVERYTHING. Just to prove a point. Girly talk. She initially was raising eyebrows but ends up saying I was the victim in the situation and leaving it at that. I talk to him about it, he tells me he never dared to say anything bad about me ever. I was confused. Then a few days later while I was on call with him he tells me he broke up with his girlfriend. I'm like oh wow, kinda surprised it lasted that long and especially that it happened now- After a while he just casually drops says, ''Oh by the way, you knew that Discord girl was my girlfriend, right?'' And I just sat there like …………………………… ?????????????????? What? The girl of 5+ years? That same one? He says yes. ..... ... Aaaaaanyway I just ended up blocking both for the peace of my mind and ultimately moving on. LOL 👍
