@apepatrickdev Different characters wield different weapons. It will be party based with multiple characters in battle but at first you start with one.

@apgamesdev Yeah, I like your shader or camera trick for showing the sprite behind the walls. I might try something like that too for specific areas.

@SamThe_Salmon Thanks, and yeah I agree, the high res textures look odd against the pixel art characters at times. I believe Octopath 1 had more pixelated textures and they have been increasing them every since.

@R3troVertigo personally i dont care for some of the newer ones with the overly realistic-styled backgrounds like DQ3 or Star Ocean, but i LOVE the style of what youre making here, with the more SNES/PS1-like textures and the low res paintings and stuff. this is what i wish squenix was doing

@ryu_lidu Yeah, agreed, I was having seizures play testing it. I actually already fixed it but haven't gotten a new build out.

@R3troVertigo I took a look at your game and it looks like it doesn't have these problems, if I had to complain about something it would be about hit effects, there's a big flash whenever you hit something, imo that flash could be tuned down a bit

@R3troVertigo Style isn’t the problem. It’s implementation and cohesion. Look at these PS1 era graphics coming back and actually looking pretty good. People just need to hate things and get their being and personality from it.

@Freddy10629566 I've actually considered a CRT filter option for my game, and even tried some shaders that blend the pixels on the sprite natively but that didn't look too good.

@R3troVertigo Not a fan, no. But as long as only SE does it, I don't care to much. I'm not a fan of their games either, generally.
