Lieutenant Jan Stangryciuk-Black, a rear gunner in No. 300 "Land of Masovia" Polish Bomber Squadron, passed away in London on 22 October 2023, two years ago, at the age of 101. Jan was a great friend to British Poles - we miss him greatly! [*] A memorial service will take place on Monday, on 24 November at 10.00am at St Andrew Bobola RC Polish Church (1, Leysfield Road. London W12 9JF). Let's pay tribute to this great hero of Poland and Britain!

Celebrating 7 years of @PreservePenley I set this up following the loss of my dear mum, a nurse at Penley over 3 decades. My aim to raise awareness & keep in the public eye the important history & legacy of Penley Hospital before it is too late! #Wrexham 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇵🇱

Finally said a very sad farewell today to our dear old lady, the AEC Matador Tanker. She’s off to a new home with @BruceCrompton The AEC was always the Centre’s long-term renovation project since 2015, but time and circumstances have now dictated otherwise.

Today I handed-over the entire artefacts Collection, (my final task as a Curator and Trustee) Its been my proudest honour to have spent 15 memorable years building @RAFIngham And I have learnt so much about the history and sacrifices of the Polish Bomber Squadrons Pozegnanie

#OTD last year we opened the Polish Bomber Squadrons Centre - RAF Ingham. In 2010, two Englishmen dreamt of creating a lasting Museum to remember the men & women of the Polish Bomber Squadrons. 17 Apr 24, 104 y/o John Franklin, W/Op 304 Sqn, honoured us by cutting the ribbon.🇵🇱

@RAFIngham today I was reminded about the 1,426 Incredible Polish Women who served in the RAF and PAF. Helen Paszkiewicz was the first Polish Woman to become a WAAF on 31st October 1941. To find out more The Polish Bomber Squadrons Centre is open tomorrow 10-3.

Another wonderfully sunny day @RAFIngham , where we welcomed some lovely visitors, many of which it was their first visit. So many fantastic compliments, it makes you 😃 👍🏻

At Lincolnshire & Rutland Tourism Excellence Awards, we were finalist in 'New Tourism Business of Year' and Geoff Burton was a finalist in 'Outstanding Contribution Award'. Although we weren’t winners of categories, we are very proud to be recognised within the tourism industry.

Wonderful to welcome Ireneusz Truszkowski, new Consul General @PLinManchester and Ms Dorota Byszewska-Milosinska, Counsellor from Polish Diaspora Dept, MFA, 🇵🇱 for their first visit to our Centre.

Thanks to Karol and the wonderful team of volunteers @RAFIngham the Memorial Garden Project got off to a flying start yesterday. The Banter, Friendship and coffee from the "Airman's Mess" was very welcome. To find out more @RAFIngham is open weekends 10-3.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Cafe will be closed on Sunday 16 February. However the Polish Bomber Squadrons Centre is still open as usual. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

With the frosts gone, it was a great opportunity for our Polish friends to join our regular volunteers in preparing the ground for our new Remembrance Garden. A great effort by all, in some poor conditions. And as is customary, our Polish friends ended the day with BBQ.

An honour and a privilege today to attend a Remembrance Service in honour of Lancaster PA269 and the Polish Airmen of 300 Squadron which crashed 79 years ago at All Saints C of E Primary School Wigston Magna Leics on behalf of @RAFIngham with Steve from the @IntBCC.

Wonderful to meet so many of the Polish Community in Hammersmith! 🇵🇱   Founded in 1967, The Polish Social and Cultural Association (@POSKLondon) is the largest Polish centre in Europe. Open to all nationalities, the centre provides a community space to celebrate and promote Polish culture.
