UNHCR - RAGJ: Navigating the Impossible Once again, UNHCR - RAGJ confronts daunting obstacles as they embark on a journey to the hard-to-reach community of Terminator in Bamendjing, located within the Galim subdivision of the Bamboutous Division in the West Region. This area currently host internally displaced persons from crisis-affected region of the Northwest. The journey was grueling, demanding extreme care and expertise from both the vehicles and the drivers who skillfully navigated through theses critical circumstances. Despite numerous hurdles, the team remains resolute in their determination to provide essential assistance to this remote community. Their unwavering commitment and resilience shine through as they successfully delivered meaningful support to those in need, showcasing not only their dedication but also the strength of the human spirit in overcoming adversity.

On September 9th, UNHCR-RAGJ visited the Moungo division in the Littoral region to provide essential legal support. The local village of Kotto Natigal, situated nearest to the crisis-affected town of Muyuka in the Southwest region, hosted this initiative on what was intended to be a joyful school resumption day. However, the dire conditions observed revealed a community grappling with severe lack basic facilities for school and communities still suffering from the repercussions of an ongoing crisis. In spite of these adversities, the resilience displayed by the young learners was commendable. It is imperative for humanitarian organizations to intensify their efforts and deliver necessary support that these children urgently require. The future of these young individuals is contingent upon collective action and commitment. A call to action is essential, attention must be directed toward their plight, fostering to create equal opportunities in these underserved areas. @Refugees @UNICEF @RefugeesCmr

Working session on RAGJ's Research Fellowship with Dr Akenji Maghah a day before yesterday, 23 August 2024, at the RAGJ Buea office. Dr Akenji, founding Vice President of RAGJ and current Board of Trustee (BoT) member, joined the MEAL Working Group in the Buea office for a productive work session on developing RAGJ's Research Fellowship Program. Discussions centred around exploring RAGJ's rich data bank and programming actions to align with RAGJ's 2025 Strategic Orientations and the critical raison d'etre of RAGJ, which is to utilise innovative research methodologies to identify/address essential issues of communities as well as publish research findings to inform practices and policies. More details on the Research Fellowship will be provided later.
