Americans are morons about travel, they'll travel to a resort on a 3rd world island where it's practically a civil war outside the hotel then I say I'm going to Croatia and they worry I'm going to get murdered or trafficked because it's not some FOMO mexishithole vacation resort

Candace Owens defended her decision to visit Russia with her husband for the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, claiming there is no real explanation for the State Department’s warning against American travel to Russia. “I always call it the Cold War hangover, where there’s not really an explanation, but they just sort of tell you Russia is a no-no and a no-go.” The State Department advises Americans not to travel to Russia because the Kremlin has a long record of arresting and detaining US citizens on trumped-up charges, often using them as leverage in prisoner exchanges.
