“We can’t have an immigration policy that simply says ‘chase away these illegal foreigners’ as the ANC, if we believe there are too many Nigerians in South Africa, the best we can do is to diplomatically discuss that with the Nigerian government.” - President Thabo Mbeki 🇿🇦🫱🏾‍🫲🏿🇳🇬

To be truthful, South Africans don’t want other Africans in their country, and the truth is that they definitely need to adhere to them. Let’s see how the country’s economy works, because some even think Nigerians are there to take their jobs, which is insane, especially the fact that most White South Africans prefer working with other Black Africans outside South Africa 🇿🇦 than the indigenous people. Now down to the Igbo people. Everyone knows that Igbos are not there to take lands in South Africa 🇿🇦 or to rule anyone. What they are doing is unionism, which has always been practiced among them for centuries, where they form a group to contribute and protect their businesses while helping those who are struggling financially outside their homeland. So they install a leader known as Igwe, meaning King, over the Union to oversee it. Not a king to take South Africa’s lands but to protect and oversee their businesses and organization. Some South Africans misinterpret everything because of hatred and what some Nigerians have done to destroy their properties, and others think they are there to steal your jobs or lands.
Typical African@Joe__Bassey

South Africans are attacking every African, especially Nigerians, in East London, South Africa 🇿🇦 after an Igbo union declared an Igwe last week. Many cars and businesses have been destroyed already with gory videos being circulated. We know Igbo people love unionism. It’s high time they stop giving the title Igwe outside their ancestral land to avoid controversy between them and the people.

For A Marxism Without Guarantees
On some day Basotho and Batswana are our people we don't see them as foreigners and they are not subjected to abahambe and the next it's let's annex them because they want to renegotiate the water deal. It must be a tiring full time job to be an ethno nationalist xenophobe.

The Southern African Customs Union is also a trade deal from Colonial & Apartheid eras but still stand and benefit Lesotho greatly at the tune of billions of Rands. Why must South Africa always be sacrificed at the altar of Pan Africanism?

Lol I’m looking at the arguments here about the water treaty between LS & SA needing review as stated in the agreement. Why is it scary for the review to be made & royalties adjusted? Why does it trigger deviating talks of irredentism?

It’s sad how some South Africans are targeting businesses of Africans from other countries in SA. Some even think people who run legitimate businesses are taking their jobs. Africans going to South Africa 🇿🇦 for business should be careful. Recently President Cyril Ramaphosa pointed out that inflation and hardship will soon hit the highest in the country and that they should cope with him as he’s doing everything possible. Yet some people are attacking other Africans doing legitimate business in the name of protecting their country, while White people who control most of the country’s economy and land live comfortably and are not being called out. The sad reality is that most of those people, especially from Zimbabwe, are of the same ethnicity as them but are divided by colonial borders.
