Celebrating legacy. Honouring impact. At the IWD Soirée, we paid tribute to two extraordinary women whose lives embody courage, leadership and transformation across our continent. Gloria Serobe has been a powerful force in advancing women’s economic inclusion, using social business to build pathways for dignity, ownership and opportunity. Gertrude Mongella, a trailblazer of global significance, has dedicated her life to championing women’s rights and shaping international frameworks that continue to guide progress today. Their journeys reminded us that when women rise, they do not rise alone. We were truly honoured to welcome Gertrude Mongella to our International Women’s Day activities. From the Dialogue to the Soirée where she was celebrated, it was a privilege to honour her remarkable contributions to women, communities and the African continent. It was equally inspiring to see her in conversation with @MbuyiseniNdlozi on leadership and Africa’s future. A powerful reminder of the importance of intergenerational dialogue as we continue shaping the continent’s path forward.
