My FAIR BET Act has been sitting in @WaysMeansCmte for eight months, despite commitments from @HouseGOP to restore the full gambling loss deduction.
I am now filing a discharge petition to bring it to the House floor for a vote.
Both high-stakes and hobby gamblers are struggling, and local economies like #OnlyInDistrictOne that depend on gaming revenue are hurting. We need 218 signatures to bring this commonsense fix to the floor. Call your representatives and tell them to sign on.

We've won overall 28 of 29 years doing this, including this year despite the poor NFL results. Our ability to adjust and adapt continually for decades is a strength and why long term results matter.

This service is outdated and is not applicable to the new sports betting market. Clearly, results show..

@potatokmish @DrBobSports @Hitman428 @adamchernoff The season was decided by an awful preseason. A market we've historically done very well in. In most instances we got in good, just had nothing to show for it. We'll make our usual adjustments/improvements in the offseason.

Losers don't hit over 56% lifetime in NFL, and over 57% in NFL regular season with third party verification. Surprising that some people still can't tell the difference!

NEW: Thanks to our outreach, I’m hearing additional members of Congress are open to supporting @repdinatitus ‘s common sense and bipartisan FAIR BET Act to ensure no taxes on phantom income!
Please see the quoted post for how to easily find your representatives in Congress and how to contact them! It doesn’t take long and our request to not tax income that doesn’t exist is common sense. We just need to inform our representatives that this issue matters, which will increase the chance this gets resolved one way or another

Earlier this year the BS Budget Bill reduced the tax deduction for gambling losses to 90%.
In response, I introduced the FAIR BET Act to restore the commonsense 100% tax deduction to protect professional and recreational gamblers. I was the first in Congress to introduce this fix and haven’t stopped garnering support from members and stakeholders since.
In fact, the #FAIRBETAct has up to 21 bipartisan co-sponsors with @RepEzell most recently joining!
It is now critical for @WaysandMeansGOP to add this bill to the legislative calendar before the year ends. We must get this fixed.
