Update my Council Leaders Twitter account ready to hand over to my successor (new leader elected at full council on the 25th May). Until then this account with be monitored by our council comms team.

My last tweet on this account as I retire as a councillor after 19 years, the last 5 years as Council Leader. Thank you to all my followers on Twitter, we have not always agreed and I have not always been able to give you the answers you wanted but I am grateful our interactions

When is the cafe in Priory Park (formerly Pistachio’s) going to reopen @reigatebanstead ? It’s looking pretty bare at the moment. Isn’t spring/summer the busiest time for a park cafe?

@ReigateRabbit @reigatebanstead There is an independent investigation underway into the complaints received into the councillor’s conduct, this will the be reported to the council’s standards committee. Last example of this the councillor was not reinstated. Is there ever a time when nobody’s watching

@HateToHate @ReigateWalker Yes event organisers are asked to park in car parks unless operationally critical to the event. With regards the cafe, operators are only allowed to use for access for deliveries only and deliveries are request out of hours
