Believe it or not, medicine is the only course where a person get to have all round knowledge across a the health courses. They get to do pathology, pharmacology, radiology. So they can take part in conversations involving any healthcare worker

If I’m judging you with this statement, I’ll say you have a myopic mindset. A case where Someone comes to a relative who’s not a Dr or goes to a pharmacist asking for advice to a health challenge but was referred to see a Dr. That’s illegal to you?
Benash@Benash18

@Dr___MD These talks are needless. Other health workers do not have business receiving patients in the first place let alone referring to Doctors. Any act of receiving patients is purely illegal and you can't be asking that a lawless person should start writing referral to u.

Guy to Guy... You know what's going on down there that you can't speak out. 1.) Clean Shave the area. 2.) Wash with 5% Benzoyl Peroxide wash or use the cream once daily for 2 weeks.. 3.) Apply Clindamycin twice daily for 2 weeks 4.) Ensure to always keep the area dry... You're welcome 🤝

@RBDRKING @_Faridah___ I think all your venting is from insecurity. No one said your job is not important. She didn’t say everyone with sore throat develops complications. She only spoke about an association. The lozenges scenario is like taking pain killers for knee pain when it could be “autoimmune”

Don’t go and be buying lozenges for strep throat o. Sore throat to kidney failure is a very real horror story. See a doctor.

@RBDRKING @_Faridah___ Sorry to intrude your discussion. And sorry to disappoint you. But she is absolutely right. I just saw an Rx in bio, so please make time to read about post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis. To top-up, streptococcus infection is also a recognized cause of interstitial nephritis.

It is very funny that you think a patient must walk into a hospital to see a pharmacist as the first point of contact for counseling regarding prescribed medications. If they do, fine. If they come to a chemist first, also fine. And I can say this with my friend's full chest: in many cases, chemists are doing the same things as pharmacists. So, what exactly is so outrageous about a chemist being the first point of contact for that same service?

@_ayobami0260 Yea. One spends six years to learn how to prescribe cefuroxime for sore throat while the other does six months apprenticeship to do same. In the nutshell the chemist is the more intelligent version of a pharmacist as he takes a shorter time to do exctly what a pharmacist would do

Bro to Everyone In this age of information accessibility, you simply cannot come online and present half-information with the expectation that nobody will scrutinize it. People read. People research. People cross-check claims. Knowledge is no longer exclusive to professionals within a particular field; even non-medics now actively educate themselves through journals, publications, guidelines, and credible discussions. The average audience today is far more informed than many people assume. Having a point is not enough if the point lacks context, balance, or scientific completeness. A statement can contain an element of truth and still be fundamentally misleading when important details are deliberately or ignorantly omitted. Public discourse, especially in health and science, demands intellectual honesty. If you choose to educate or make assertions publicly, then accuracy, context, and evidence are not optional. People are no longer willing to blindly accept claims simply because they are confidently presented. If you’re going to speak, then speak responsibly. Speak completely. Speak truthfully.

@rundriveng Bro, there's no careless anyhow attitude here. If the person that made that prescription is a qualified pharmacist then we're sure he did his assessment before prescribing. If your first thought is a hospital for a sore throat that's fine but that's not the reality here.

These are serious issues. When you hear about strange or sudden deaths from what began as a “simple sore throat, toothache ,” it’s often because of the careless “anyhow” attitude we’ve become used to. We assume every sore throat, tooth ache is minor without doing a proper assessment. May we never get used to negligence!
Friendly Neighborhood Nurse@WelearnACA24578

@rundriveng Shey you talk say dem do CT? How many ppl would do a CT for sore throat? And this case is different cuz it's recurrent with other symptoms. In reality if you have a sore throat you first thought shouldn't be a hospital and that's reality. Good catch but doesn't change anything.
