@CDriscoll99 Proper Xmas this sort of stuff but also shows how different the respect was towards family and the appreciation of receiving gifts, sadly in most cases it’s lost and there is just a level of expectancy when it comes to receiving gifts now days

As a child at Christmas, every family member would buy us toys, apart from my Grandfather. He would buy fountain pens, calligraphy sets, art sets, encyclopaedias. I loved these gifts and looking back now, i appreciate how thoughtful they were, even more.
