Today we are delighted to formally open the College’s new Birmingham Regional Centre. We look forward to welcoming and thanking local and national stakeholders who have contributed to the centre’s development in the past decade, and celebrating RCSEd's connection with Birmingham.

@AlbertoIsla1 They’re already a museum item! Pop into the Surgeons Hall Museum if you’re ever in Edinburgh - the tie from this painting is also on display in the museum. More seriously - if ties are offered, there should be suitable alternatives for those who prefer not to wear a tie.

I was joking. in 1997 when i earned the tie it was available in many places including Jermyn St. Now complex to get. only available at the Hunterian Museum’s shop at the College. Are college ties becoming a museum’s item??
Jose M. Balibrea MD, PhD, FACS@BalibreaJose

@AlbertoIsla1 And many others! The question is whether the tie is an optimal article of clothing to signal membership in a scientific society ...however much we like them!
