Spent nearly £50 on a 2 hour journey from Royston to Brighton...! It would have been so much cheaper to drive, and quicker door to door. Disappointing.

I am leaving teaching at Easter. Maternity contract coming to an end. I feel really ready. The system is broken and I need weekends and evening back. But I feel like I failed... How easy is it to return to the classroom after a break?

Has anyone moved from teaching to CRM? Are there any specific transferable skills to be mentioned? Please retweet... I am a very tiny voice!

@OneOf15percent Thank you for responding. I am definitely trying to be consistent with my expectations of silence when I ask for it. But I don't think I have actually achieved it many times this year. Will find my copy of TLAC - definitely worth another dip into.

@RCTeachesY4 Lots of tips in Teach Like a champion, consistency is key though. If you want silence, insist. Pull them up if they don't. Try again and again. Follow through with beh policy.

@RCTeachesY4 @dazmoll @andyhargreaves @TheStudentLeads I’m sure in the new phonics training, the said it should be PRINT as children never see cursive in any other time other than when they write. So signs and things in the classroom should be print, not handwriting. I’ll see if I can find something concrete other than my notes 😅

If you could ditch one subject from the curriculum tomorrow, what would it be and why?

@dazmoll @andyhargreaves @TheStudentLeads I’m sure it was only dropped from EYFS writing though. (Although you aren’t supposed to have cursive on printed things throughout the school)

@emmyyjay93 I have dreadful veins! The nurse made me put my hands in hot water for about 10 minutes and then managed to take a sample from there.

Any recommendations for a collection of short stories for Year 4 to read online? My colleague is reading David Walliams Worlds Worst Children but I would rather introduce the children to something they might not know about!
