I distance myself from politics as a rule but these fuel and energy price rises are mind boggling. How are people expected to just absorb this as though it’s normal? Why aren’t there protests? I don’t get it. Nearly £2 a litre of diesel is fucking scandalous.

@maggiemoda I think it’s more a case that people won’t have children if they can’t offer a childhood as good as their own. Older generations could afford houses, but the prices doubled or tripled so younger generations can’t. Living standards went backwards.

People had children under FAR worse conditions. We don’t want to admit it but the reason most people aren’t having kids is because it involves sacrifice.

@AaronBastani Labour and the Tories are basically rebranding as the greens. That will be the left wing party now. The right will be between Reform and Restore.

Something really new is happening with the Greens. They are being attacked by the right wing press, and hitting back. In fact, they basically say they aren’t credible as a source of news. Meanwhile, they’re still gaining thousands of new members a week and climbing in polls.

Boomers don't want to hear this, but one of the (many) reasons why my generation isn't having as many kids? A lot of millennials feel they can't depend on their parents for help the way they saw their own grandparents pitch in when they were growing up

@BoveFromAbove The tories didn’t want Brexit. They campaigned against it. The establishment only allowed a referendum because they assumed they would win. Brexit was pointless only because those in power were all anti-Brexit. Sort of like entering a competition you don’t want to win.
