The Funerals and Bereavement APPG are pleased to share that the group has been reconstituted following the General Election. We held the inaugural meeting with the Chair, @CatSmithMP, to discuss the issues facing the sector and look forward to continuing our work in this area.

During the constructive meeting a number of pertinent issues were discussed, including the laws governing burials and cremation.

Last Wednesday, the Funerals and Bereavement APPG met in the Palace of Westminster for an in-person session chaired by Sir Robert Goodwill. It was fantastic to welcome over 40 members of the funerals, burials & cremation industries attending from across the country. (1/2)

2/4: We teach children about when life begins, why don’t we talk about how we feel and what happens when it ends? The literary, historical, sociological and scientific topics in all four key stages are rich in natural, age-appropriate conversation starters.
