🧨 The fire at #JhansiHospital is another sad testament to the overall upkeep & immense workload of #govthospitals. Every such hospital is a ticking time bomb. While the enquiry is underway, like before, eventually it might end with suspension/ termination of doctors and incharges. But who will bear the onus of telling the general public that it is often the dilapidated infrastructure which is at the core of almost all the problems? 🔥Overloaded electrical circuits because of old wirings, 🔥Openly hanging high tension wires, 🔥Bad/ outdated/ malfunctioning machines, 🔥Untrained, indifferent & non existent PWD departments, 🔥Extreme corruption while tendering for materials/contracts, 🔥Lack of periodic inspections, 🔥Ignoring complaints of doctors’ on duty, 🔥Lack of beds/ space for patients, 🔥No air conditioning/ temperature management of high risk thermal zones, 🔥Oxygen leaking everywhere from cylinders/pipelines, 🔥No fire hazard protocol, and so on! ‼️We (as doctors) are failing our citizens and patients. 🚨And facing their misdirected wrath. 🔕While policymakers and corrupt officials just beguile them with false promises and tall claims. #Jhansi #jhansimedicalcollage @ANI @PTI_News @UPGovt @myogiadityanath @narendramodi @AmitShah @JPNadda
