Heartily agree. Fiedler builds his argument voluptuously, and rigorously. It’s addictive. The pages on Fitzgerald and Hemingway would get Fiedler blocked by some writers very quickly. Honestly, the propulsive energy with which he eviscerates Papa H’s “bitches” is remarkable.

@AidanRyan Thanks for the correction. I deleted all posts related to this, though I did meet Coetzee at least three times and reviewed several of his books. Now I'm wondering if Jurgen Habermas is really dead although that seems more widely sourced. 🙃
