My forever PFP has been secured.⛩️
Feels surreal to finally write this. The kind of post that lingers in the back of your mind until the moment arrives. This is that moment.
This @Azuki OG isn’t just clean, it’s me. Huge shoutout to @7316 for making it happen. This one won’t move again.
There’s something strange about changing your PFP on X. It’s not just an image swap, it’s a brand shift.
Could’ve done it sooner. But it was not the right time. Because a PFP isn’t just a flex, it’s identity. And when you find the one that hits deep, hesitation disappears.
I recently came back from NFT Paris where I finally met a few of you IRL, crossed paths with @zagabond, and then the universe did what it does - led me straight to Seven. A connection that’s always been there, just waiting for the right moment to surface.
Been in The Garden for a while. But being an OG, that’s a different kind of belonging.
Proud and honored to hold this one.

we've heard the feedback on the current XP system, and we're putting a pause on XP given directly for listing and bidding
while we don’t think liquidity rewards are inherently bad (see more below), we understand that there are a lot of strong emotions towards point systems, and that the NFT market as a whole is in a unique spot right now. we’re building OS to support this space long term, so we’re pausing this part of the rewards program while we think through the best path forward
in the meantime, we'll focus the rewards program on XP shipments -- which were designed as a flexible way to reward broad participation in OS2, such as buying and holding
users that joined our beta early and gave feedback in Discord earned the first round of shipments because they helped us make the product better (thank you!)
our second round of shipments is going out now to a subset of the users that bought an NFT on OS2 -- with XP multipliers if you held an NFT from a top volume project for more than 3 months (the longer the time held, the bigger the boost). check your rewards tab on OS2 to see if you got one
if you didn’t get a shipment this time around, more are on their way. we’ll continue to reward buyers and holders that use OS2
regarding liquidity incentives, I want to be clear about our thinking here: we're operating a business in a competitive space, and liquidity is fundamental to any marketplace. we’re going to be thoughtful about adjustments / enhancements, but liquidity rewards in some form are important to offering a strong product in the market
lastly: I appreciate the feedback. we’ll continue to work closely with those who have helpful ideas. but some of the vitriol I saw on X this weekend appeared to be primarily motivated by extraction / attempts to bring OS down. we’re listening closely as we build, but we won’t be bullied. if you want to help us build the future constructively, we’re all ears.

OPEN LETTER TO OPENSEA'S TEAM:
I'm writing to you today as someone who's been involved in the NFT market since 2022. First and foremost, I would like to point out that OS2 has been a treat. The UI is clean and the overall experience is incredible. That being said, I'm concerned about the direction that OpenSea seems to be heading and I strongly believe that no one is interested in another Blur 2.0.
The constant competition and dumping on each other between PVP farmers is not only exhausting but also detrimental to the entire ecosystem. It's like watching a never-ending memecoin jeet festival with no real winners in sight. This cutthroat environment might drive short-term volume and revenue, but it's ultimately good for no one - not even OpenSea.
However, I don't just want to criticize without offering a solution. I think I have an idea that could help shift the focus back to real users. What if you were to revamp your XP system that rewards genuine buyers and sellers? Here's how it could work: give XP to real buyers/sellers with a 7-day cooldown per NFT, so it doesn't get farmed to hell (sold back and forth) by farmers. Additionally, give XP for listing NFTs on Opensea and keep the loyalty score which would encourage users to do their business on Opensea.
I also think it's time to strip away bidding points altogether. Honestly, this feature benefits no one - absolutely no one. *See attached photos below*
By doing so, you'll create a more sustainable long-term environment that incentivizes real users to use Opensea, not just farmers. Ultimately, when it comes time for the $SEA airdrop, I believe that you want real users and NFT lovers to receive it - not airdrop farmers who will jeet their massive allocation the second they can and never look back. These farmers don't care about your platform or NFT communities; they're only in it for the ROI.
The community deserves better than a never-ending cycle of PVPing between farmers who don't give a sh*t about NFTs. We've had enough pain with Blur's already.
