According to @digitalfoundry a device which specialises in playing old PS4 games is revolutionary, and PC/Xbox handhelds which play modern games are not.

According to a new rumor The next-gen Xbox console, will run new games as Universal Windows Platform (UWP) PC builds via the Windows Store, with no native console SKUs.
Legacy titles will run via backward compatibility emulation.

Is anyone genuinely excited for this? Xbox just announced Project Helix as the codename for their next‑gen console. They’re promising top‑tier performance and full support for both Xbox and PC games in one ecosystem. I’ll still play their games on my PC since Game Pass already covers me there, but I’m curious what it would take for you to actually buy their new hardware. What would Xbox need to show for you to pick up their console instead of sticking with PC or PlayStation? A strong price? Real exclusives? Specs that actually justify the box over a high‑end rig? Curious to hear what everyone thinks.

She got ahead of GDC, dropped the codename herself, confirmed the PC hybrid rumors on her own terms, and positioned "lead in performance" before anyone could set expectations for her.
I'm impressed with the communication strategy....this is how you control the narrative.

@the_sandalorian I think its common with any hobby shop. People come in all jazzed about their favorite thing. Yap about what they have, what they want, what they like. Ask the workers their haves, wants, likes. Gets tough to feign interest all day. Especially w/ regulars who are just annoying

I wonder if people realize Xbox Next won't have its own development environment/suite as per Xbox Series X|S.
Xbox Next is going to run Xbox #PlayAnywhere PC Games. It will not run your existing Xbox discs. This is why Microsoft's Play Anywhere is being pushed front and centre.

Just reported our quarterly results.
We are still in the beginning phases of AI diffusion and its broad GDP impact, and already we’ve built an AI business that is larger than some of our biggest franchises that took decades to build.
Our quarterly cloud revenue crossed $50 billion for the first time. What’s striking is it was less than 10 years ago that our annual cloud revenue was $10 billion! (That is what expanding TAM + good execution looks like)
