Latest @businessposthq poll out this morning, taken in the final days of the Presidential election campaign, sees parties in the left alliance that supported Connolly make gains, with SF up 2 and Soc Dems reaching record high of 9%, while FF downward trend in support continues.

@gataveckaite Our last poll before the election certainly predicted they would come first, and was very accurate. Just because you don’t do well in the polls in between elections doesn’t mean they are wrong, it just means you do better when people finally link your candidates to your party .

Taoiseach Micheal Martin speaks to Fianna Fáil membership and grassroots in Dublin. Even though he publicly insists he doesn’t have much interest in polls, he says from 2020-2024 there were 140 opinion polls. “Not one of them predicted that Fianna Fáil would come first.”
