Our Haitian friends and neighbors are facing an incredibly difficult time following the Supreme Court’s decision a few weeks ago that cleared the way for the administration to terminate TPS designation for Haitians. I ask that employers not make this transition any harder by laying workers off preemptively ahead of the expiration of TPS-related work permits next Friday, July 24th.   In May, I directed $3M from our Federal Cuts Response Fund to the refugee resettlement agencies that stand ready to support those losing work authorization and benefits.   I stand with our Haitian community in opposing the Trump Administration’s cruel abandonment of immigrants who came here and abided by a legal immigration process, believing they'd be allowed to build a future here.

Sean you have always been fair. The Jerusalem Post reports it was not restricted and the IDF and violent settlers acted illegally by blockading us and having us trapped for nearly 75 minutes. I thought you would be outraged Americans were treated this way. jpost.com/israel-news/ar…
Sean Spicer@seanspicer

Lets break down this outrage: You entered a restricted military area in the West Bank without prior coordination and were stopped by IDF soldiers. Bodycam footage shows you were not detained and were free to leave. Do you want to take this back - the same way you took back being "proud" of Platner?

Americans are once again watching in horror as Trump’s lawless federal agents took another life - this time in Maine. We must seek accountability and justice and an end to this madness.

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

@RoKhanna It's bad enough that the US Embassy/Ambassador does nothing for American citizens in Gaza/West Bank/Israel, but this situation is absolutely unbelievable. Thank you Congressman Ro Khanna for having the courage to go to Ground Zero and expose the truth.

Instead of calling for the arrest of violent settlers & IDF soldier who detained Americans, former Congresswoman Manning criticizes me for taking a Palestinian led trip to the West Bank. I want to respectfully address this criticism head on because we desperately need more American politicians to take trips like the ones I did. I had been to Israel three times before my trip to Palestine. I had met with PM Bennett and PM Netanyahu. I have met with the families of Oct 7 terrorist attacks, including Jon and Rachel Polin who lost their beloved son Hersh. Can an American politician not take one Palestinian led trip to the occupied territories to learn the facts on the ground? Must every trip be curated through the Israel government or pro Israel advocacy groups? Will any trip that is through the lens of Palestinian eyes be dismissed as a stunt? What is most surprising to me is Congresswoman Manning dismisses my experience of being seen first as Brown and second as an American in the West Bank. I have never felt personally such an acute sting of race in America. When traveling in Palestine with a small group of others who were White, I was singled out and asked my faith. I was subject to longer interrogations at checkpoints. I was laughed at and mocked by violent settlers. And I saw firsthand the IDF taking the side of violent settlers much like the police forces sided with segregationists in the Jim Crow South. I am not nearly as eloquent as Ta-Nehisi Coates. But any person of color will feel how he or I did if they visit the occupied territories for even 24 hours. What is happening in Palestine is a betrayal of Judaism or the ideals of Israel. I wish Congresswoman Manning and others who love Israel would open their eyes and help work to redeem the soul of the nation they love by ending the oppression.

WATCH: Margaret Brennan gets COOKED by Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Michael Leiter over Ro Khanna's incursion in the West Bank MARGARET BRENNAN: Well, before I let you go, there were two high-profile incidents I want to quickly touch on here. One, a CNN crew attacked in the West Bank by what they say were four settlers. There was also an incident with Ro Khanna, the congressman from California, who said he was his vehicles he was in were stopped by Israeli settlers, and then when the IDF showed up, they were on the side of the settlers, not him. He said "[i]t's not a good idea to detain longshot presidential candidates". It was a warning to your government. Do you think your government needs to apologize to both him and those CNN journalists? MICHAEL LEITER: Any violence is to be condemned. No excuses, no explanations. Okay. So if CNN crew was attacked, that needs to be condemned, and I'm doing so right now. And we need to do a better job. BRENNAN: You are condemning it [unint]-- LEITER: --If- if- if it was- actually took place as they've reported it, absolutely condemning it. We need to rein in violence on all sides. Now, in terms of Ro Khanna, we reached out to him when we heard he was going to Israel, the Israeli embassy here in Washington. As all congressmen do, they coordinate their trip with the Israeli government. We suggested he visit with- with survivors of the October 7th massacre. That he visit the borders, so he understands the, the issues that we have in our borders and so on. He ignored that and he decided to coordinate his trip not with Israel, but with Palestinian activists and with J Street, which is a anti-government, anti-Israeli government advocacy group here in Washington. So you know he coordinated-- BRENNAN: It's a Jewish lobby group… LEITER: Well, it's-- BRENNAN: …that is supportive of a different path for Israel. LEITER: Yeah, yeah. I- I play tennis once a year. That doesn't make me a tennis player. The fact that they call themselves a Jewish organization is- is irrelevant. They're- they're- an advocacy group against the government of Israel. That has to be clear. BRENNAN: The current government, Netanyahu government. LEITER: Yes. Yes-- BRENNAN: That's what you mean, the government you work for. LEITER: And Congressman Khanna, there has been no secret about his antipathy towards the government of Israel as well. So perhaps if he would have coordinated the trip- and then you know to have this incident on Wednesday and wait to release it on Saturday, maybe this had more something to do with his support of- of Graham Platner beforehand and the difficulties he had with that, and trying to shift the focus to something else. Perhaps I'm asking a question. BRENNAN: Well, we did hear from Congressman Khanna, who said that there was an alert to the embassy on his behalf, and that they asked for the news… LEITER: --There was not, there was not-- BRENNAN: …to be held until he had left the country, as well. LEITER: There was a question. There was not an alert. There was a question about visas. That's all. But when we requested that he coordinate the trip with us, he rejected that by basically staying silent. So that's unfortunate. This whole incident is unfortunate. And if- if somebody, it's kind of interesting that somebody wants to declare a presidential run by running off to Israel? Not strange? BRENNAN: Well, we're going to have to leave it there, sir. There's so much more to talk about with you, but I'm out of time. Thank you for coming. LEITER: Thank you, Margaret. Good to be with you. BRENNAN: And we'll be right back with a lot more. Face the Nation. Stay with us.

@toddrichman The NYT photographer paid for their trip. We will be releasing more videos. I know Todd your love for Israel is sincere. You can be a voice for demolishing the outposts, arresting Yinon Levi & violent settlers. You would be appalled what they are doing in Israel's name.

Explain to me who is deranged again: “Trump mentioned Biden, his family, or his administration at least 580 times in public remarks or on Truth Social — an average of about six times per day. A separate New York Times analysis found Trump used Biden’s name more often than he said the word “America” during his first 50 days. “

When I heard about Senator Graham’s death last night, the first thing I thought about was not all the things he said and did in service of Donald Trump. I thought of the time before Donald Trump when he was a brother to Senator John McCain. A time when senators from different parties could fight about politics and still be friends. A time when a conservative Republican from South Carolina could say of my father: “If you can’t admire Joe Biden as a person, you’ve got a problem. He’s the nicest person I’ve ever met in politics. As good a man as God ever created.” That is the Senator Graham I will remember today. Not because I have forgotten what came after. Because in that memory there is hope. Hope for a country where brothers can fight like hell over policy and still share a meal, and a laugh, and the loss of the people they love. I will choose to remember the time before Trump. Because I believe in an America after Trump.
