@novieverest China will never agree to that NEVER, instead they will supply the Iranians with even more advanced weapons to disrupts any US intervention in the strait, remember weakening the US reducing their stockpiles is also in the best interest of the Chinese.

Trump wants China to buy oil from the US or Venezuela. Once China agrees, it's over for Iran.

But the WSJ lays out what's really happening. Xi wants the May 14-15 summit in Beijing to deliver tariff relief, looser tech export controls, and a shift in U.S. policy on Taiwan. Every diplomatic favor China does now is a deposit toward that meeting. The timing of everything China is doing this week puts things into context. Wang Yi flew to Pyongyang, signaling Beijing is still indi spensable on North Korea. Taiwan's opposition leader arrived in China for a "peace mission" at Xi's personal invitation, the first in a decade.
