SAVE $84,000 PER YEAR MAKING YOUR OWN COFFEE! I buy my roasted beans from Everyday Gourmet Coffee at the St. Lawrence Market for $20/lb. Sounds expensive, but here’s the math for various coffee options: Starbucks, Tall, 354 ml, $2.45 Tim Hortons, Medium, $1.83 Costco, Kirkland, Keurig pod, 120 pack, 41 cents per pod Brew my own, 15 cents per cup. Of course, I must invest in a coffee maker, a grinder, and a thermos if I want to bring coffee with me, but those are capital costs I can amortize over many years. So, if I drink 100 cups per day for a year, I can save $84,000 compared to buying at Starbucks. (I only drink one cup a day, but I’m told you must use “clickbait” to “drive engagement,” so I’ll leave it to you to do realistic math).
