Last week, @Kathy35SK helped celebrate the 10th anniversary of #RecessRocks in RI. Rep. Fogarty was the House sponsor of the legislation to requiring elementary schools to have at least 20 minutes of free play recess during the school day. Last week's event recognized Student Recess Champs, including the student winners of a Recess Rocks poster contest. Recess Rocks RI is a partnership between Blue Cross & Blue Shield of RI, Playworks New England and RI Healthy Schools Coalition. Thus far, Recess Rocks RI has impacted 128 schools and 45,000 students.

We ended our week with our Monthly Perfect Attendance Party. Students celebrated with a Glow Party where they danced, played games, made glow in the dark bracelets and painted. Huge thanks to our Veazie Attendance Team for organizing this!
