Fuck it, I’m going to say it. Cash For Clunkers was good policy, and saved the U.S. auto industry. It had near-zero effect on the affordability of anything, and doesn’t affect the used car market today even a little bit. You just want to justify your racism against Obama.

99.9% of people who "experienced" the Challenger disaster saw it on replay and now remember it as live. Almost NO ONE was watching. Everyone thinks they were. It's a fascinating collective false memory.

@davepl1968 Well almost everyone my age saw it live at school. It was a major deal because of the presence of the school teacher going up. My wife was in MS , her sister in elementary school on opposite side of the country from me also watched it as special school project live.
