1/10 Many don't realize it yet: Trump has ERODED the US' global footprint in a way that will likely shape the world for the next century: -Ending US aide -Failing to stand up for Ukraine -Violating sovereignty in Venezuela -Weak statements on Taiwan -Folding on Iran -Having China push Iran to the table -Ending US development investment in Africa and Latin America -Trade wars with South East Asia -Pushing Canada and the EU into deeper trade relations with China These have all rapidly diminished the US global sphere of influence, to the smallest its EVER been in the modern era.

SNYDER: Our entire diplomatic process has been reduced to only two negotiators: president’s son-in-law and president’s friend. They are not diplomats. You would probably say, “That looks incredibly corrupt,” and you would also say, “That looks like it could never work.” And it can never work. It won’t work with Ukraine, it won’t work with Iran. In fact, it has already failed with both Ukraine and Iran. But the deeper problem is that United States cannot help anyone negotiate an end to a war unless United States has clear sense of its own interests. And Trump administration does not operate on the basis of American interests. It operates on the basis of what is convenient for few people around Trump.

BREAKING: Iran directly rejects Trump's claim that Hormuz "will be opened" as part of a "largely negotiated" agreement he just posted on Truth Social, saying Trump's claim is "far from the truth" and that Hormuz "will remain under Iranian management" with Iran retaining exclusive permanent authority over route, timing, method, and permits, per Fars. Iran also confirms the nuclear file has not been discussed and that American officials themselves have told Iran in multiple messages that "Trump's tweets are primarily for domestic American propaganda and media consumption" and "should be disregarded." The "largely negotiated" deal claim therefore has no basis.
