Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Today — and each day, we honour and remember residential school Survivors and the children who never returned home, their families and our communities. Let's work together towards healing, understanding, and reconciliation.

This is serious. Attacking ANY media -- left, right or centrist -- is a dangerous lack of respect for our democratic process. These attacks were right out of the 'gotcha' politics seen south of the border and a step closer to fascist-style leadership. #democracy
Rachel Gilmore@atRachelGilmore

When Pierre Poilievre personally attacked me in a press release because he didn’t like the questions I asked him, Anthony Koch was the spokesperson who signed off on the statement. He appears well-practiced in directing anger towards specific groups. I really wish he’d stop.

@ambermac 2/2 For those with the privilege of being able to find 'better' voices...be grateful. Not everyone lives in a region with fast internet access and multiple info sources. This is where CBC steps in (with little to no profit).

I will say this once again. For many of us who have lived or have family in smaller, more rural areas of Canada, CBC provides an invaluable service. During Hurricane Fiona, local CBC radio was all my parents had to keep informed and safe. For the leader of a major party to keep attacking CBC represents immense privilege and a total disconnect from many rural communities. It's easy to keep finding problems and people to attack, might even be a sport for some common-sense apple munchers, but it's harder to find, design, and implement better solutions.

@ambermac @ambermac Totally. And. Utterly. Agree. 1/2 No matter what banner a 'leader' may waive, STOP the attacks on a nationally-funded, for-the-people media source. Want different? Find a workable solution. And smearing it is NOT a solution.

@toJamesConnor 2/2 Result = Dismissal of overwhelming evidence + conspiracy theories about biased media and/or judicial systems. Sometimes... a duck is a duck. Quack. Quack. Mr. Trump. Quack. Quack.

Meanwhile, if you're wondering how Trump's fraud trial in NY is going. 👀 Doug Larson, the expert listed by the Trump Org as its appraiser in 5 years of documents, tells the court under oath that he never did that appraisal work and was unaware that the Trump organization was using his name as the source for appraisal values. Yikes. rawstory.com/trump-org-frau…

@toJamesConnor 1/2 (When to admit it's a duck...) Aim of critical thinking = To review info and assess your current position/opinion. But...decades of school funding cuts = No critical thinking skills taught at grade school or senior high ....

I'm suspicious of no-spend challenges. Not that the exercise doesn't offer good insights, but the exercise focuses on helping those with privilege; those that can choose where to spend their money. Not everyone has that luxury. The majority do NOT have that option.

No! I wish more investors did, but I think a minority of investors use math and logic, while the majority act on fear, speculation and gut instinct. (Based on my experience and bolstered by the 45-minute discussion overheard in a Canada's Wonderland rollercoaster line up.)
Dr. Brad Klontz@DrBradKlontz

Quick question for people trying to “make sense” of the markets using math and logic: Do you actually believe that most people are making investing decisions based on math and logic? #StockMarket #investing
