I'm sorry you're going through this rude awakening CP. It took me a long time to come to terms with this schism as well. In many ways, my husband got the worst of my "outing" because he was the more public / accessible one. There was a whole thread on Reddit about his NOAA Corps tenure and all kinds of posters were coming out of the woodwork to trash his performance. Completely false, his OERs were stellar. He even got emails from various former coworkers because ... I guess, they wanted to know why he hadn't divorced me yet or something? I lived and worked in the leftist sphere. I've had many leftist friends. I've mentored LGBTQ+ activists. I've been friends with trans activists. I don't think they're evil, unless they wish for violence or death. But unfortunately even that seems to be increasingly mainstream. My personal position is... if God can heal me, He can heal others. And I just pray.
